For Mercedes cars, a long wheelbase means what? Is the 420 SEL longer or wider than a SE or SD? I have a 300SD and 420 SEL and don't notice a difference. Someone told me my 420 SEL is 6 inches wider and longer, but I don't think so.

i need help with this i need to know how to test the injector pump on a 1982 chevy 6.2 diesel it has fuel from the pick up pump and over to the injection pump but not to the injectors it idled for awhile until it was warm but died like somebody turned it off than it would not start again.

1996 V-6 2.5 Duratec. Idle started surging then car stalled but got home. After a while car started burning super rich, then kept stalling out. I replaced the IAC and car runs good now, but stalls at stops or at first accelleration. Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

I have the above car. The air didn't work at all. It was dye tested this week and the garage said it had no leaks. They charged it and the air is working now. It makes a terrible noise when I give it gas and I think this is the compressor. Am I right. Any suggestions, the garage said it is okay, but I don't think so.

I have a chevy 305 V8 in my '76 nova. i recently bought a holley 600 cfm carb to step up from a 2 to a 4 barrell carb. i will be purchasing an intake manifold shortly, as well as an inline fuel filter, which my mechanic said i would need.

but what threw me for a loop was that he also said ill need to purchase a different distributor advance kit for the car, because with the new parts on it, the engine is going to advance differently.

now ive been looking on summit, but i dont know the difference between different types of distributor advance kits, like the springs, or curves or whatever. also, the product descriptions say they are to make it stock again. why would i want a stock one? my mechanic said ill need a diferent one.

im just lost because i didnt think i needed anything besides the carb mani fuel filter and air filter.

3 weeks ago, i was using AC and idle my temp gauge for my engine was increasing so I turned my heater on instead. The temperature went down. My car was just fine after. Then couple of days ago my car started overheating when on stop and go traffic and when i go at higher speeds on freeways. Then it was fine again. then 2 days ago my car overheats, my bf check that the bottom hose was just cold, while the other hose from my radiator to the engine was hot. It was fine the next day after i pour coolant in. Then yesterday, I test drove. The car started overheating again. The next day the car was just running fine. top and bottom hoses were hot. The fan was working. The last time I took it to a shop the guy said my oil is seeping. What could be the diagnosis of this "sometimes overheating of my civic 97?

just bought a 1972 Chevelle Malibu for dirt cheap. I wanted to increase performance and horsepower but i am new to this and wanted to know what i should do first and what the necessary steps are to complete this. Can i customize the current engine to perform how i want or is there something else i should be doing? I was told right now it has a V8 350/350. Acts as if the turbo has suddenly gone off. A warning 'beep' is heard , then the message 'Anti polution warning' is shown on main display. When engine is switched off then after a while restarted, everything reverts to normal.
Any ideas? ( I know it may be the 'computer control')
