I was talking to someone and they said, they are putting a nitrous kit in their stang.

Isn't bad for the v6, more so a v8 engine?

OH MFG

U AGAIN???
WELL YOU KNOW WHAT I'VE NEVER SEEN NITROUS BOTTLES IN A FOUR CYLINDER HONDA CIVIC.

NITROUS IN A STANG?
YES IT'S POSSIBLE. AND NOT ONLY POSSIBLE, BUT IT IS ACTUALLY VERY POPULAR.

ALRIGHT I HAVE TWIN TURBOS AND STAGE THREE NITROUS (THREE BOTTLES OF ZEX NITROUS AND HIGH PRESSURE WET SHOTS) IN MY STANG.

GIVES ME AROUND 200 REAR WHEEL HP WITH A TOUCH OF A BUTTON.

Nitrous has been used in American cars long before it became popular on the import scene. Really its been the fuel for Drag cars for decades. Many of the same companies sell kits for domestics as they do imports and depending on whether your talking wet or dry shots they basically install the same way just with different nozzle sizes. With a 75hp shot you really have to do nothing other than install the kit on the car and fill the bottle. Anything higher requires tuning if the person wants to ensure that their engine isn't going to grenade when flogging on it. Just as different engine blocks handle Nitrous in import cars, the same applies in domestics.

Nitrous was used on American Muscle Cars way before people started using it on wrong wheel drive Japanese econo boxes. Nitrous won't hurt your engine in small doses. If he keeps it to a reasonable level, like 75 hp, and only uses it at the strip, he won't cause too much damage to his engine.

Silly ricers, spending thousands of dollars to make their cars almost as fast as a stock Mustang

They do it all the time. The problem is, if your heads and whatnot arent built up in the V8's and V6's you can burn your valves up pretty quick with constant use. But there are a lot of drag racers that use it. I have nitrous in my Pro Street Dragger Mustang, although I hardly ever use it.

Lots of companies make easy bolt-on nitrous kits for Mustangs:

I wouldn't say that it is common. Most Mustangs are left stock. There are a bunch that have been modified and then some of them have nitrous, but I wouldn't say all that many.

well i assume they race their car since their putting nitrous in but from my knowledge, i dont think that its bad for ur engine but im no expert so i might be wrong.

(and it actually ur the first person hu answered is half right and half wrong because it is called nitrous and not nos because nos is the name of a brand[Nitrous Oxide System])

nitrous works the same in any motor. and has been used by domestics longer the imports.

The only differance is that the f&f movies made a bunch of kids think it was called nos and that they could blow the welds out of there intakes.

silly ricers.

I had it on my 88 5.0 LX for years. It's an easy 125hp boost. You just must be sure to have plenty of fuel and not too much ignition timing to keep detonation away.
