I have had a nasty engine vibration at idle in my 1994 Cavalier with the 4 cylinder/automatic trans that I can't seem to get my arms around. Raising the idle slightly by resting my foot on the accelerator eliminates the vibration, but I don't believe that the idle is adjustable on that car.

I have replaced the front side engine mount that was broken. I've changed the plugs and wires (distributorless ignition) and the ignition coil with no effect. Oddly, when the front struts were changed (unrelated--leaking) the vibration diminished for a few weeks.

I haven't crawled under the car to see if the lower engine mount is trashed; I understand its not as easy to replace as the front mount was.

Has anyone had experience with this condition? Any ideas? The engine otherwise runs great and the fuel economy is 25 city 32 highway so I don't think its an internal engine/fuel/ignition problem.

Any help would be appreciated

I personally think Ford is ill equipped than GM to survive the crisis. The new Taurus was a bit of let down for me.
Does the Escape have the muscle to fight with Rav and CRV.The new Mondeo in Europe seems promising.Any plans abt Focus in US.Edge was also seriously lacking any Muscle. They are selling Jag,Land rover. What abt Volvo,Mazda.I once thought that
Mazda was the weakling in the group.I have never heard that Mazda is for sale.Is MAzda strong in the US.

My pontiac is overheating in stop and go traffic from I belive is because the fans on the radiator are not spinning. I bought the sensor but I canot locate where it is inside the car. I already changed the thermostat and the fuses so this is why I belive it is the sensor. If someone knows where it is located or has a diagram of the 3.4L that would be great! everything is just crammed in so tight I cant find anything in this car!! thank you!

I have a 1989 Chevy s10 and I want to put a billet phantom grille insert in my existing shelle....problem is they dont make them, you have to buy them shelle and all and that is way more money than I want to spend. I did, however, find a 1993 phantom grille insert, now I know that it won't fit in my truck without having a 1993 shelle my question is will I be able to put a 1993 shelle in my truck ?

It is an XLT with 4.0 6 cyl - 4x4 manual transmission. Right now it only has a ball on the bumper - so probably would need to install a towing bar.

Just want to know the safest maximum towing weight - want to pull some kind of camper trailer. Thanks!

My girlfriend has just bought a VW Beetle and the key is not great. There are Ebayers selling new key fobs with uncut blades but a local VW dealer told me that I would be unable to get a key blade cut as they only come from Germany. Is this true? Dealer charging £190.00 for new blade, fob and re-programming. Thought about buying one of Ebay but this may not be a good idea! Then thought about buying one of Ebay and then switching over old blade to new blipper but would this work? Does it need re-programming and if so can this be done without going through a VW Dealership as they are a rip off? Can anyone help please?

Does manual shifts wear out the transmission more than full automatic mode? Is it better to leave it at automatic mode?

I have a 2000 e46 328i and I enjoy up/down shifts using my steptronic transmission while I drive. Full automatic mode either under D or S just does not suit me.

I've been driving my car for the past 7 years, and would like to protect the tranny as much as I can.
