Hello,
The E46 BMW M3 is widely regarded as the best car in the world, as is the Porsche 911 (997) turbo. In reality, the budget you have available to purchase a car really dictates the competitive set in which this question should be answered.
The BMW M3 has, without doubt, one of the best engines ever built. In fact, the car's design, handling and engine makes it a true contender for the title. BUT...
The Porsche 911 has essentially continued with the same motoring formula for more than 40 years and is widely considered by motoring journalists as the closest a manufacturer can come to perfection. This result is slightly counter intuitive given the rear-engined architecture of the car.
If money was no object I would have to say that the Porsche 911 Turbo is the best car in the world. It has the most superior acceleration together with German build quality, reliability and relatively manageable service costs. When you compare this to other "supercars" like Ferraris and Lamborghinis the 911 Turbo is a relative bargain.
So, put simply, the Porsche 911 Turbo is the best car in the world. This is a function of evolution, performance, reliability and affordibility (oh and safety, of course!).

I have a Nissan 2006 X-terra and happy.
Had a 1996 Blazer chevy and good but the compressor in the ac died and lost money on resale. But was good.
Had a 95 Jeeep Cherokie from my work and it was also a great car but that job was crazy and in the floods and hurricans lost the transmission.
I had a 92 Honda Civic and good on gas but in the east coast with thesnow was not good.
The Nissan is real good.
I would like to be specific but there are variables on this answer
Mc.
can I have a BA please

Best for what?
Several of the answers here are the answer to the question, "What's the fastest road-legal series production car you can buy," (Bugatti Veyron 16.4) but that's not what you asked.
One is the answer to the question, "What's the most responsible car you can buy," (Toyota Prius) but you didn't ask for that, either.
Since you asked for "the best car in the world according to you" (meaning the one giving the answer), EVERY answer is correct.
Here's mine (also correct, of course).
The Subaru Forester PZEV. With a few well-chosen options and a little shopping, it's available for under $23,000. It's versatile like an SUV and has AWD for winters and light off-roading, and it's car-based so it handles decently. It's no economy champ, but the EPA says it gets 23 mpg in the city. And Subaru is the only company 100% of whose cars Consumer Reports has tested, was 'Recommended.'

The Prius is the best car in the world because it pollutes less and it uses a lot less gasoline than almost anything else. Now if you really want to be environmentally responsible, you shouldn't even buy a car, you should take public transportation or ride a bicycle. But realistically, if you need a car, you should look at a Prius before anything else. It has the most advanced hybrid technology available, it is comfortable, it is highly reliable, it is aerodynamically advanced, and it looks good. And even though it is an economy car, it is a status symbol. So you can pull up right next to a Mercedes or Jaguar and hold your head up high and feel superior.

japanese cars suck and they are more boring than pin the tail on the donkey. germans have the best cars because they are 5x better at designing cars than anyone elese in the world. a mercades maybach is the best car; v12 and it weights so much if you get in a accident the car wont go anyway but maybe skid 5 feet.
