Its a 4dr and I really need to find out. The owner's manual did not come with it. My friend could not find it at the time.

My 1978 Monte Carlo had a 305 and it would get 22mpg at 55 mph back before they raised the speed limits. A Caprice would weigh about the same and have approximately the same aerodynamics. Your's might get slightly better 'cause there were 5 more years of gas mileage engineering put into it by GM.

So much depends on how you are driving. I had a 1980 and would get about 20mpg on the highway. I imagine that you could get 25 under ideal conditions. In town, I think every stop sign took 1/2 a gallon

Contact the dealer they can get ya a manual.
EPA rates mileage for that car beween 16-20 mpg.
