I personally think Ford is ill equipped than GM to survive the crisis. The new Taurus was a bit of let down for me.
Does the Escape have the muscle to fight with Rav and CRV.The new Mondeo in Europe seems promising.Any plans abt Focus in US.Edge was also seriously lacking any Muscle. They are selling Jag,Land rover. What abt Volvo,Mazda.I once thought that

Mazda is not a part of Ford proper. They are not owned outright like Volvo or Land Rover. Ford owns 1/3 of the company, and they'd have to be really dumb to sell that share. (But then again, they'd have to be pretty dumb to sell Volvo, too.)

Jag is not profitable, and in its history has only rarely been. Aston Martin wasn't profitable, either. I'm not sure about Land Rover, but I suspect that's the same.

Anyhow, yes, they'll survive. They're strong enough overseas that Ford will survive as a company. Even if their North American operations are gutted, Ford of Europe could always move in and pick up the pieces. And I don't think it'll even get that bad. Ford is not Rover.

I am from the U.S. and to be perfectly honest with you, I have not heard all that much about the Mazda. As to your main question, Will Ford survive the crisis, I do believe they can and they will. Have a great day.

The investment banking style collapsed because of the fact its enterprise style became premised on extensive quantities of leverage. Any enterprise that borrows $3 hundred against each and every $a million properly worth of sources (which replaced into submit to Stearns' point) merits to circulate bankrupt. As for the "super 3" are you able to think of of any reason, aside from sentimentality, we want all 3. in addition to, based purely on an precis examination of the automobile marketplace and the super 3's habit they could desire to all circulate abdomen up. They make extensive SUVs that no-one needs to purchase anymore and don't likely look involved in heavily competing interior the compact marketplace. fairly than globalization meaning the loss of life of u.s. you do recognize that the eastern "super 3" build their vehicles in such unique places as Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee. particularly the eastern super 3 pay comparable wages for comparable adventure because of the fact of worker mobility around the US. Non-unionized workers make the main of the unions of their marketplace because of the fact the union creates a usual pay fee for the marketplace. The legacy fees borne by the super 3 are of their own making, no person compelled them to pay pensions (unions can purely convince not tension). And as for Congress allowing this to ensue i can purely assume that the congressional delegations from states that get carry of investment from in another country come under severe tension to enforce rules which will entice jobs. The paycheck concerns better than the payer.
