it was a 2 door coupe with a dual distributor 4 cylinder engine. i am pretty sure it was rear wheel drive and it was a 4 speed. the title and registration didn't say what it was, or if it did i don't remember seeing it. anyway i have never seen another one like it anywhere. the rear quarter panel had louvers on it in which the drivers side covered the gas cap. i want to stress that it was NOT a hatchback. i have searched everything i could find on Datsun history and have not been able to find this car, it is as if it doesn't exist. anyone with any kind of knowledge here would be greatly appreciated! thank you for you time.

ok heres the deal i started my car fine, i drove out of the driveway and it died. now it wont start. it does that eerrrrrr, eeerrr i guess what a 1998 honda civic would sound like when it wants to turn over but it doesnt. theres oil in the car and the battery just got tested good. im not sure what it could be. can anyone help or give suggestions.

I have a 1989 trans am and am thinkin or replacing the engine with a chevy V6 for fuel economy. Is the performance going to go down drastically as the v6 is from a later model and has roller cam compared to the old V8 that hauls the car?

we have a dodgy fuel gauge that goes up and down (anyone know if this is the gauge or something in the fuel tank?) also our odometer has stopped working and one from a certified volvo dealer will be a couple hundred pounds. Whereas one from a scrap merchants will be a lot cheaper, but would this invalidate our volvo careline warranty (which is still going after 17 years!!!!)
Any advice on this would be much appreciated!

Car starts out fine then as it runs seems to lose power.Occasiionally powere window won't go up just installed new motor last 6 months started working fine.Also tach fluxes up and down when flux up now engine rev on it's own but when it goes down motor seems to almost feel like it wants to stall.One other thing is that it seems that I have excessive heat coming from the floor.Is this an optispark prob? Can I test it somehow? If I can't test it is it possible to get a used one and see if that fixes it or aren't they interchangeble?Sory so many questions ,but just like to know all possibilties.HELP HELP HELP!
