Car Makes - February 2007

I recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Sienna, and last night, after parking the van around 10PM, the alarm decided to sound off at approximately 4AM. Naturally, I assumed it was a break-in, so I checked outside and no one was around, so I turned off the noise and reactivated the alarm. Soon thereafter, the alarm began to 'chirp' intermittently and within 30-40 minutes, the alarm went off again! I even deactivated the alarm at one point, but it reactivated itself 30 seconds later! This became a cycle right up until 7:30 this morning when my wife took the van to work. I lost sleep, my neighbors were upset, and I didn't know what to think. The one thing, however, that we concluded, was the fact that when I had turned off the ignition, the windshield wipers were not completely down, nor were they turned off. I have since contacted Toyota, and was told that the wipers most likely were the cause, but without looking at the alarm, they couldn't be 100% sure. Any thoughts ... car experts?

i notice it more on the freeway it fishtails and makes steering kind of bad ...if the wind blows it snatches the car and makes it fishtail

Has anyone tried the Tornado Fuel Saver if you have was it worth it did it get you better gas miliage and more horsepower? I was thinking about getting one for my 1984 Chevy Silverado that gets a wonderful 6mpg driving on the freeway in Overdrive so i could get maybe 7mpg is that to much to ask for? If you've had one on your vehicle let me know if it was worth it thanks

Im going to be going to the wrecking yard to find a ford 5.0. I just need the short block no heads or intake. Since the motor's are in the junk yard still installed in the cars or trucks. How can I test or tell if the short block is in good condition or has good compression? I cant run the engine or turn the motor over for a compresion test. They have no battery's or fuel

Ha ha, okay, YOU'RE the rotary expert, not me!
So do you recommend I clean the MAF myself, or get the dealer to do it... I'm afraid of wrecking it.. I read several DIY's and I'm not confident I will finish the job without significant damage..

Lay it on me straight.. how easy is this thing to damage? I'm no klutz but the word "oops" does exist often in my vocabulary..

I have a '99 Honda Accord. Its a very odd color- and yes it is stock- its like eggplant purple. I really love it! And its gorgeous. But, I kind of want to do some body work on it, without spending a million dollars!! lol.
I have seen running boards on an accord before and it looked cool- but isnt there like a body kit or something?! And what about other kinds of lights? I just got brand new headlights so those have to stay.
I also have a huge paint chip on the back bumper so I need a new bumper.
AND, the ACCORD and EX model things have come off the back of my car. Has that happned to anyone else?!

I know its a lot, but I just mainly want some suggestions on how much work a girl can do to her car to make it different and not stock, but not all done out.

I had an 2001 Honda Civic LX, and i took the filter out to replace an short ram intake. When i took the filter out there is like an plug that plug to the filter so i unplug it and i install the short ram intake and i jux leave the plug unplug because the short ram intake doesnt have anthing to plug into it and i start the car and it work fine but the "check engine" picture is showing up so i dont know if its a bad thing or did i do anything wrong, so can anybody help?

How fast would the current generation mustang v8 supercharged with nitrous intalled? And can i put a turbocharger in if its already supercharged? How would it do if i street raced with it? bad average or good? compared to the other ones in the streets i think you need some exprereicne to answere that. and if it sucks what else would you recomend? money not a problem just not something like a ferrari or rollsroyce or something. lol.

What kind of craziness is this? Examples: Dodge Neon, sold a lot when it was selling. Then they took it off the manufacturer's list. Chevrolet Cavalier, I'm so mad at Chevrolet for this one. I used to own a Cavalier (2000), they took it off and put the Cobalt in and gave it more horsepower than the Cavalier. Cavalier should've been fast like the Cobalt! Cavalier looked better too. Camaro as well. People how are you going to take away cars that are famous, and sold well off the company list. By the way I left Chevrolet because of the way they did the Cavalier wrong. Celica, O.K. I have one of these now. However, they're coming back with one just like the Supra in 2008. Toyota is cool at least they're bringing their classics back. Toyota is the best car brand out in my opinion. I think Chevy is too, but I hate them for what they did and until they bring the Cavalier back....Nope! The Dodge Caliber SRT8 is on my wish list...light weight and powerful. Fast Hatchback. Still keeping Celica!

I want a 2007 f-350 powerstroke 4X4 4 door white hehe...
