Its a good buy, its a pretty fast car for what it is, 180 ponies out of a 4 cylinder ? great on gas, 33-34 mpg, and the mods you can do to up the performance are great. I LOVE my 04 SVT Focus. I paid 13,500 for mine and it had 28,000 + miles on it, so the extra couple $$$ is because of the super low milage for an 04.

They're OK, but not great. Superchargers don't work very well on 4 cylinder engines. Should have been a turbo, but Ford doesn't bring the really good Focus into the USA. The rest of the world has just gotten the 07 Focus XR5 - 5 cylinder turbo. Ford America isn't going to offer it at all. In fact, the "sports" Focus for 07 is the 4-door sedan. I wouldn't touch that with .... well whatever. The Focus is an 100,000 mile car. Your money would be going down the drain on a car that's not going the distance.
I work on those cars and they're junk. We have one girl who keeps sinking money in her 01 Focus, and it's a shame to see.
Buy a Japanese car and you'll never regret it. Toyotas and Nissans are your best values.
