if the vehicle has keyless entry then you have a basic (non impact sensor) security system. all mazda's in that year had alarm systems when equipped with keyless.

I have a '96 B2300 and I drove it w/o the gage panel. It started misfiring badly after a few miles. A theft light came on.

i own a shop,and some of them did,i think in that year it was still considered an option,like today,it all depends on if the car was ordered with it or not,there's no way of knowing,unless you see a security light flashing on it,look in the owners manual it should tell what to look for to find out if it did or not,good luck,i hope this help,s.
