for starters, put some rims on there. Me personally, i got a 1989 Accord, and just by putting some rims on there, it made the car this much better looking. However, i aint a girl so i dunno, it shouldnt make a difference. And hey my car is like a light brown golden color so i also got an odd color. You can usually find some awesome used rims for about $200-$300 unless you go above 17inches and chromed out. Try to stay within 16-17 inches an go gunmetal alloy or powdercoated color. Next definatly get a paint job. Im gonna get my car painted as soon as i get my body kit in. Try New Earl Scheib, they got a special going on i think. Now just with that your car should attract some nice attention, and it is all under $1000. Now if you really want some attention and make it different, add a nice system to it. I got two 12" woofers with an enclosed lighted box that goes with the sound of the music, and a multi color screen cd player. And that again will stay around the $1000 mark and definatly set your honda apart. All in all, to make a car different, but not drastic is still gonna cost a pretty penny and is not gonna come cheap.

Girl car? Whats that? :)
Get yourself some side skirts, dont need a new bumper, paint it.. maybe a front fascia or something, does it have fog lights? Add those.
You dont need a whole kit, just a few parts.. check around on the internet for your area, you'd be surprised what you can find.
If you miss your emblems (come off? or taken off by some stupid kid wanting a trophy?), get some more via ebay, or a Honda dealer. Easy to install.
If you really want to intensify and make your car look 'different' pick up a set of wicked rims and some lo pro tires.. voila. Tint your windows, get your calipers painted.
Done, and done, million dollars not required. Have fun!

Most of that sounds like it would fall into body work. Body work is not an easy thing to do. Its quite a channenging trade. I know guys who are bodymen, and they have taken 10+ years of schooling total. I am an apprentic automotive technician, and mechanics do not do body work. It is an entirly different speciality. In body work there are many sub specialities too. From what I have seen coming into the shop I work at, I can tell when someone has done the work themself VS having a professional do the work. It may not seem like very big differences to some, but to people in the trade, its a major notice. Its a lot harder then it looks.
Personally, I would start out small, and in your own capibilities. I am turning my 1989 Ranger into a restro-rat rod project. I'm doing suttle modifications, nothing that screams "LOOK!!!", but to people who know the truck, it draws attention. I'm currently redoing my interior, I'm doing it in a way where it looks stock, but to people who know the Ford Ranger, they will know right away that its not. I'm painting the dashboard two tone, nothing flashy, Blue top (stock) and then at the body line of the dashboard, i'm painting it black from about the halfway point down. I'm doing the same with my door pannels, two toning them with the black in the inlaid places. I'm adding bucket seats from a foxbody mustang, they look like they're at home in there, but the style of Ranger I have, never had buckets, jsut a full bench (like what I have), and the 60/40 bench. I'm adding a custom built center concil and I'm redoing the headliner to have a patturn. I have rims that are nothign flashy, I pulled them off a Ford Explorer. My style of Ranger never had rims of that design. Future plans I have for it is finishing the 3 inch drop (on the front, rear is completed, she's a tail dragger now) and a 5L and transmission out of a mustang.
I'm not saying go out and redesgne the car from the groudn up, I'm just suggesting do something suttle that isn't too flashy, but its noticible in the right crowd. Flashy cars, I find, get trashed more, or stolen more. Stock looking cars are rarly touched, in my opinion. Also, if you're in a spot of trubble, the vehicle is harder to identify.

i assumed i ought to tell a masculine from a female vehicle, yet final Sunday as I exited church, I observed a accord that had a peculiar and wonderful paint coloration. As I watched, an elderly couple walked up and entered. They the two ought to have been of their 80's and he walked with a cane. i might say that what's interior decor must be the determining component for any vehicle. Accord is an extremely solid vehicle. My propose may well be so you might get the vehicle you desire and make it M or F by the type you beautify the interior.

First of all they're not running boards, they're side skirts. They make anything and everything for honda. Cheap and otherwise. Just lower it on some wheels, maybe exhaust. And there you go...girl car!
