I HAVE A 2006 SALEEN SUPERCHARGED MUSTANG. IT HAS STAGE 3 STEEDA SUSPENSION AND BOZE 20 INCH WITH MICHELIN PILOTS. WHAT YOU WANT TO BUILD IS SOMETHING THAT IS BALANCED. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO HAVE. DO YOU WANT A DRAG CAR OR HIGH POWER SPORT COUPE-- THEY REALLY ARE DIFFERENT. THERE ARE TWIN TURBO AND CENTRIFUGAL SUPERCHARGERS (VORTEC, PRO CHARGERS) AND ROOT SUPERCHARGERS (ROUSH) SALEEN IS A LYSHOLM SCREW SUPERCHARGER. IN GENERAL YOU CAN HAVE EITHER A SUPERCHARGER AND NOS OR A TURBO AND NOS BUT NOT TURBO AND SUPERCHARGER. THE MUSTANG CAN BE BUILT TO 500HP BEFORE YOU REALLY WANT TO GO TO FORGED BOTTOM END. I AM PARTIAL TO THE SALEEN--IT HAS VERY LOW PRESSURE 4 PSI FOR 435 HP FOR THE BASIC KIT THAN FOR $1000 MORE YOU CAN UPGRADE TO 475HP. THERE ARE MANY TO CHOOSE FROM AND THEY WILL ALL BE ALRIGHT TO GO WITH.. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ALL GET COMPETENT INSTALLATION AND PROPER TUNE--VERY IMPORTANT. THIS COMBINATION WILL GET YOU IN THE HIGH 12S. REAR GEAR CHANGE TO 4.10 WILL ALSO HELP YOU AND HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH. THE MUSTANG IS ON THE HEAVY SIDE AROUND 3600 LB GIVE OR TAKE.

There isn't enough room under the hood for an added power adder like turbo or supercharger if it is already forced induction.

The best thing to do is to decide whether you want to run a turbo or supercharger along with nitrous for either one.

An intercooler (turbo) or aftercooler (supercharged) works wonders, as does cylinder head and intake portwork. Exhaust is also a big must do. Making power and torque isn't the problem here.....it takes time, thinking and money. How much of the three you want to spend depends on how practical you want to have this car.

Then devote some attention to suspension and chassis to transfer that power to the ground. (what is the use of making tons of torque and power if you can't transfer it to the asphalt?)

Then figure out a way to stop the whole thing with oversized brakes.

Personally, I would like to own a cobra with the following mods:Polished Crower billet crankshaft with lightened counterweights and cryo treatment, Pauter Rods, Custom Ross or CP racing pistons with total seal interlocking rings,
Cylhead and intake portwork with thermal dispersant coating, elgin custom camshafts new mandrel bent exhaust with thermal barrier coating, aftercooler setup for the supercharger, with mutiple sized pulleys
for boost adjustment, Stock looking carbon fiber body panels, aluminum driveshaft, centerforce clutch, reinforced chassis and tubular suspension, 600-750hp is obtainable with this setup....
