My New Q to every one can help me !
its true ,I have the black smoke as soon I start the car at cold status, and it stay smoking even when it warmed up , the automatic black choke located on the center of the motor I have take it off and see that its working good , can you help me out to find A troubleshooting techniques of making shore if the induction mixture sensor working and leaning the mixture after warming up ! about the (cold start fuel enrichment valve) ist the one located on the right up of the motor with the water hose connected to it ? plz help :) the car is imported from the states and in its year made it never been imported by the local kuwaity Lexus dealer so there is no code reader for it and even they do not allow it to be troubleshooting at the service center cose they do not have the maintenance Manuel or the code reader thanks allot in advance for your very kind help .

i've been cleaning a garage/basement and i came accross the little thing; i've looked it up and someone is actually interested in it! how much should i charge? there is body rust, no floor, and no windows, but it is mostly in tact, i.e. the body, the seats, the steering wheel, etc.

It sounds like the automatic choke (or cold start fuel enrichment valve in an injected car) is stuck. Black smoke indicates unburnt fuel... This should only be happening after it has run for a few minutes and warmed up.
The connection to the vehicle computer may be bad, not allowing the induction mixture to lean after warming up.

Black smoke from the tailpipes is indicative of your vehicle running extremely rich (too much fuel.) Any good mechanic should be able to narrow that down using typical troubleshooting techniques. More than likely a sensor has gone bad, or a connection to a sensor is loose, but that is any number of sensors or combination of sensors. Get the car scanned with a CEL (check engine light) code reader to help find the problem.

I have a 1993 Lincoln Towncar that has a vacuum leak and when i took it to a parts store they said no one made it except the dealer but i dont really want to go to a dealer for the part, I would like to just buy a kit online and have it shipped to me or something because my other hoses and stuff arent going to last much longer... If anyone know where i could possibly find a kit or even a partial kit i would greatly appricate it oh and by the way the part that i am unable to find i do believe comes out of the intake manifold and goes inbetween the pcv valve and something else and is rubber it fits over two plastic tubes that are behind the intake valve.

I haven't decided on the whole GT, Extended Cab, Etc. yet so which one would you pick as your first car including all of the smaller stuff like GT or Extended Cab.

when the motor is cold, it starts like a typical old carburated engine, then once its runnin and warmed up its fine. you go out on the road, its got power, 4 barrel is strong, and then after the motor is good and heated up, if you shut it off, sometimes it will drag real bad, and not start, then sometimes cranks normal and still not start. but always when the motor has lost all the heat, It starts fine. Its had a new battery and alternator(and plenty of other engine work) Im thinkin its either the starter or timing. cuz theres a knock in the starter after it fires up, then smooths out.
