the above answer Is mostly correct, however, there are 2 important facts missing:

#1 flip the remotes over & make sure they have identicle part numbers on them, Not ALL Fords use the exact same remotes.

#2 You must program ALL existing (up to 4) remotes at the same time, or else you will "knock out" the codes of any other remotes not present.

Here is the link to download your complete owners manual for free. (in case you don't have one)

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Turn the key off and on 4 times, wait for the doors to lock and unlock, then press the unlock button on all the remotes you want program, wait for the lock and unlock, turn key off and try remotes. For all remotes to work, they have to be programed at the same time

Check to see if you have keyless entry in your Mustang. The test procedure is in the first source. Basically, after the 8 times in 10 seconds, if the locks cycled you are in business. If not... not.

While the programming instrustions in answer 1 are correct, it will only work IF you already have 1 or more working remotes. If you do not, it will have to be taken to a dealer and programmed thru NGS.
