it's all personal preference. but if you like to drive fast like i do, i like to drive smaller cars because i feel like my car is more stable.

If you are considering a Mustang, you probably don't need the extra cargo capacity of the F-150. You won't want to help people move out/in either. And gas is expensive so why the hell would you drive by yourself and use like 1 gallon of gas to drive 10 miles? Oh and please ignore Bill S. He's being stupid by telling you to buy whatever the hell he bought rather than to try to reason why you should pick one over the other. Not only will the F-150 use more gas, but he's telling you to get the Triton 5.4L v8. That's going to be hella hard on your wallet. Oh and it's a 4x4 too! Great! More ways to throw away your money through the window. The only reason I would justify wasting more gas is in the form of utility. You're moving stuff, or you're going really fast. Oh yeah, and the mustang is not a small sports car either, but it will definitely be better on gas. And it's fast. And some chicks dig Mustangs (though it should not be a reason why you pick your car). So yeah, I'd say get a Mustang. Or get an Impala like the dude above said. Haha...
Oh yeah one more thing. Nobody wants trucks or SUVs now, so if you buy a new one, you'll take a VERY STEEP hit on depreciation for the vehicle.

The Mustang is definitely the cooler of the two, but if this is your first vehicle then I am assuming you are a younger person. If that is correct, you would be better off with the F-150 (which by the way is still cool also) from an insurance standpoint. Another plus of the F-150 is it's usability. You can do so much with a pickup whereas with a Mustang you are very limited with what you can use it for. The insurance would be the biggest factor for you though. Being younger your rates are already going to be naturally higher and a sports car on top of that! Wheweee, will you pay thru the nose for insurance!!!! Trust me, I am confident the truck is going to be your better bet. Her's another little helpful hint when it comes to insurance - In a lot of cases the older the vehicle, the cheaper the insurance. Good luck with whatever you decide and be safe!!!

Go with a truck, extended cab model. I'd never drive a mustang, I hate cars. Plus get a 4WD. And since its your first vehicle get an automatic transmission, much easier than trying to drive in traffic and shift gears. Since you want the F150 get the 2006, and get the triton 5.4L V8, its a pretty good engine, and it will have all the power you will need. Also think years down the road, if you plan on having a family some day, you'll probably still have your truck. As for a mustang, just try sitting in the back seat, and see that' there's no room, plus hard to get things into and out of that back seat, so just imagine trying to get a kid in the back seat or out of a car seat. So thinking about that you might consider a crew cab F-150. My first car was a 1984 Ford Ranger 2WD, great truck except for the 2WD part, as I live in snow country and I like offroading.

I would have to say if you have the money try and go for a mustang cobra, no matter what year there all fun to drive and as long as you don't race everywhere you go in it it will last you for a long time. You might want to do some reading on anything you decide to get before you get it because you might be happy with it at first but you would be surprised at how old little things about a car get like when you travel alot and your car does not ride smooth ETC... Not the best thing if your concerned about gas mileage but if you want the feel of a mustang that's the way to go. Hope this help you out.

Neither. Think about your insurance! First of all, a truck has pretty high insurance especially if it is 4x4. Second, A SPORTS CAR! You've got to be kidding. I was a firefighter and I can't tell you how many kids got behind the wheel of mommy or daddys mustang, corvette, whatever and ended up killing themselves because they thought they could drive faster than the road would allow. My suggestion, get a station wagon. Surround yourself with as much metal as you can that way when you do wreck you might save a few brain cells.

all up to you dude,i have a stang with a v6 and its got 100,000 0n it and no problems other than maintenance, girls love stangs but the question is are they after you or the car?f150 is cool too, you can do alot mor with a truck. they go thru more snow than the stang and lets see ya haul furiture in the trunk of that stang.you can put a topper on the truck and use it like a camper and go traveling or pull a camper, motorcycle, boat or whatever, i have a truck too with the stang and i have more fun with the truck but its true friends will come out of the woodwork to get ya to haul things for them,i just say grass gas or *** nobody rides for free lol

I myself am not a ford person, but I would suggest the Mustang if you like small sporty cars.
A F-150 if you really like trucks, very popular though, I see alot of these F-150s

F-150 for sure!!! Chick Magnet extraordinare!!! Also, unfortunately, a "hey, I'm moving next weekend, can you help" magnet :(
Truck will likely get worse mileage, so keep that in mind. Also, if you get a truck, go for a 2003 or earlier...the later ones are just Pieces-O-Crap, unfortunately.
