I can only speak for the Impala. A friend just purchased an 07 with the biggest V6. He's knocking down 30 MPG on the highway and 25 in town. The Impala is physically the largest car thus more room and better suspension packages. Some have on suspension upgrades at all. My buddy's dad has an Impala with the V8 motor. The fuel economy isn't where it should be. In my opinion pass on the Hundai as there are too many service problems. The Mercury runs a close second to the Impala especially if you choose the 24 valve motor. The Rav 4's have the same V6 as the Camry, pretty stout if you feed it 93 octane. The motor in the Rav 4 calls for both fuels according to the horsepower you want.

The impala ss handles like crap !!!!! Sure its fast, but can you say torque steer
I swear that you could pull out and pass some one on the freeway by just mashing the gas with out even turning the steering wheel freaken junk !!!! But that’s the N.A unrefined way of building cars as long as it as a big *** motor in it who cares about the rest. Out of all of them I would go with the rav4,
4x4 if you need it and still good on fuel and Toyota’s tend to be very reliable

You are kind of broad in your question but i HIGHLY recomend checking out the Ford Fusion. All the car reviews say great things. Ford is really changing and is making great cars. Safe cars too. Gets somethin like 31 MPG. Rides very very nice.
Its American Made ... Great reason to check it out too.

You realize that you're comparing apples to oranges to grapes to watermelons? There is no way to compare the four different vehicles you've named. They are so different in design, purpose and other elements that it is nearly impossible to do a meaningful comparison.
Just drive each and make your own decision as to with which you feel the most comfortable, then make your choice.

I think the Impala has the most horse power and delivers good mileage and rides good too. That is my choice, hands down.
