1987 Mercedes-Benz E-300 moon roof problems?

I have a 1987 Mercedes E-300 and the moon roof will not close. i spen 800.00 6 months ago to get it fixed, it is my only vehicle and it is expected to storm in my area for the next several days...is there a way around this?

Is there a red handle in the trunk to crank it closed.My 83 300sd has one.You put a socket on it.
