Up until now, I've just been using regular on an Automatic 2005 tC, but I've recently bought a Injen Cold Air Intake. A friend of mine flipped his wig when I told him I still use regular. Is this a big deal? I mean, I have one performance part. Will using premium really make a difference?

I love my fuel sipping 318i. but driving here in california, we're often at the 75-80mph range, at which time the engine is revving at 4000rpm+. seems to me that an additional gear would allow me to cruise at an even more efficient lower rpm.

My car won't start despite a new alternator, battery and water pump. Not to mention a new wiring harness, starter, and spark plugs no more than 3 years ago. I'm running out of options and I've been out of money. It's been finicky for the last 6 mo. (white smoke out the tail pipe, have to pump the gas to get it started, rpm fluxuating up and down, stuttering, occasionally dying in the road if I'm not quick enough on the gas) but now, all it does is click when I turn the key. Any suggestions? John Paul, are you out there?

I have a BMW 5 series and my windscreen-wiper has damaged my windscreen.I need a cheap solution. I have already went to the local service, but they said the only solution is to replace the hole windscreen, which is very expensive. It's just a minor scrath, but it shows.Any suggestions?

The key is separate to the ignition key and i would prefer not to pay a fortune with a locksmith. Will i ultimately need to buy a new cap and key and get the old one removed or is there a key out there somewhere which i can buy for a few quid.

I noticed that the car jerks for a while and starts when the wheather becomes hot but would not do so early in the morning when the whether is still cold and after observing this for sometime i want to believe there must be something responsible for it that i have to change.I tried a used cold start switch but no luck.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. A while back while driving my "Service" light came on, and was then followed by my "Trac Off" and my "((ABS))" light. We initially thought that it was just a warning light to get the brakes changed.

The brakes have been replaced - both front and back. Including rotors. The lights are still on.

Also, sometimes right before the lights come on, and when you first step on the brake there's very slight resistance in the brake pedal and it makes a noise that sounds like a motor of sorts shutting down.

Is it possible that the sensor is bad for the ABS system. And that the noise I hear is the ABS actually shutting off?

Anyone have any experience with this problem?

I took it to Meineke for an oil change and the 16 or 24 point inspection and they never mentioned why it was on, but did mention that I needed brakes. I had figured that it would solve the problem. But it hasn't.

Thanks!

I will be buying a new car in the next couple of weeks and initially decided on the Mazda3. I went to the dealership for a test drive and wound up in a Mazda6 also. The Mazda6 is incredibly roomy and the models I'm looking at in either category of the car are comparable as far as features go. I like the appearance of the Mazda3 better than the 6. I like the way the 3 drives in comparison with the 6. I like the EPA gas mileage ratings on the 3 better. But, I like the interior of the 6 better. Also, the 6 would save me a little extra time and possibly money when it comes to installing stereo items.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these cars? Any things to watch out for with either model? Blind Spots? Quirks?

Hi>
I brought my 1981 model 4.9 turbo back with me from being ex-pat in the Mid-East. Nice LHD white thing without the silly eagle transfer on the bonnet.
A somewhat extravagant move at the time, but I don't regret it.
I was wisely disuaded from the 7.0 version.
It got me nicely across desert highways at speed, and now toodles around rural Bedfordshire. Hey Ho.
Many of the UK insurance folks have not heard of one, nor have tyre & exhaust emporiums.

Any goodly humourous thoughts on the silly item ?

Bob.
