Up until now, I've just been using regular on an Automatic 2005 tC, but I've recently bought a Injen Cold Air Intake. A friend of mine flipped his wig when I told him I still use regular. Is this a big deal? I mean, I have one performance part. Will using premium really make a difference?

It's not required, however if you want the maximum performance out of your tC it is suggested that you use 91 octane.

I have a AEM cold air intake, turbonetics twin turbo, computer chip upgrade, new headers, and a high flow exhaust. I get 274hp and 301 lbs of torque. I use regular gas, premium gives me the same preformance specs, to the number. yes i even drained my gass tank before i tried with premium, not a damn different! However my Scion will destroy any mustang on the block!, even the new 300hp ones! Gotta love that power to weight ratio!

Nope, won't harm the engine. i attempt to apply it as quickly as a month (ninety 3 octane) yet with gasoline expenses that's kinda loopy. employing severe octane basically burns in a various way and can sparkling/burn immpurities from the valves and make the engine run smoother. For greater constructive leads to getting the engine to run greater constructive/smoother is employing a can of BGK forty 4 gasoline additative (or perhaps its BKG) that each and each 5000 miles works solid. I often use larger ocatane on long highway journeys.

It's not required and switching to premium just puts money in the oil company pocket.

your scion does not have a high compression ratio so there really is no point to unless you want to waste money.
