I am looking for something reliable. I currently own a 1986 944 N/A, I have always done the upkeep and it has proven to be bulletproof reliable. By choosing a well maintained 968 or 928, I know the upkeep will be minimal yet somewhat costly, and the car should prove to be very reliable. But I am looking to know from someone firsthand their impressions on these watercoolers. They are about the same price (although 928 S4/GT are going for a bit more..)
As I am looking to drive this car as often as possible in the summertime, I want a reliable, powerful ride. As economical as possible of course, although we are talking about two sports coupes. Best bang for the buck, best originality, best car...? Thanks for your input :)

Can I magnatize this? At my school they have this thing where you put the magnate of an ignition mag of an airplane to remagnatize it. Can I use this to magnatize the cast iron oil drain plug on my car? Would this type of modification cause any problems on the car engine? Could a magnatized drain plug magnatize the oil pan of the engine as well?

My car only has 81,000 miles on it but it's 12 years old. The only reason I'm selling it is because I've had it for a year and now I no longer enjoy it so I want something newer and different. Thats it!There's nothing wrong with the car! Yet whenever I tell people I'm selling to get a new car, they dont believe me, even after seeing first hand that there's nothing wrong with it. The only reason people ask: "why are you selling?" is to find out if the owner is selling because the car has problems. As if the owner would really answer that truthfuly if they were selling because the car has problems. Give me a break. Such a dumb worthelss question. They think that my excuse is a red flag that there's some hidden problem with the car. Did I miss the memo that said people are no longer allowed to want newer, different things? It's gotten to the point where I'm going to have to lie. Anyone know any good believable excuses?

I have a 2002 honda silverwing. After not starting all summer I started it up. I was getting alot of hesitation and sputtering. So I figured my fuel was bad and my plugs were fowled. When I emptied the fuel I noticed rust coming out. I put an inline fuel filter and new plugs(the guy at store gaped them). I drained out the old gas found rust and put fuel filter and a gal and a half of premium in the tank and now it will not start. I checked for spark and did see spark. I also checked the air filter. I've got 4000 miles on her and changed out the 1st set of plugs before summer. l and found rust in the fuel when draining it. I put a fuel filter in line so I would not have to pull the tank.

attn:Dodge man great answer my truck has only 104,000 miles on it.I took it to the shop and they suggested the intake gasket needed replaced.I need a second opinion.Could it be both intake gasket and valve seals? My truck runs great and has lots of power. My only concern is the blue smoke after it warms up and only after I've idoled for a few min.(like after I have to stop at a stop light and then accelerate,it blows blue smoke and then goes away) don't want to replace a lot of things just to fix this problem as that could get very expensive.I hope this extra info. helps. Thanks Again!

I'm replacing the battery on my '89 Ford Festiva. It doesn't seem to be that complicated of an issue, but I wanted to make sure. I already read that you disconnect the negative first and reconnect it last. But I'm still wondering:

Is there any danger in touching any part of the battery or the terminals at any time?

Is there anything weird about the process that I wouldn't expect? Any possible hitches?

Thanks.

My son get hit by a taxi from behind. He was approaching two line highway where speed limit is 40 mph. He already made his safe turn after checking traffic from left and went almost 30 ft after stop sign. Taxi was in left lane of the highway and hit him from back. Taxi front left was damage, both airbags both inflated. My son's 199 pontiac montana minivan rear left tail light damage, and tail gate damage. Rear bumper was thrown from left to right side of the road.

Cop gave him ticket instead of taxi, that he did not stop at stop sign and failed to stop and yeild to incoming traffic.

I can't understand, why did he get ticket, when he already passed the stop sign, after checking traffic properly, no one on his right lane from far left. Taxi was coming from far in left lane. My son turned in right lane. When taxi did unsafe lane change at last moment, by not paying attention on raod and no tire markes on the road which says he did not apply brake at all.
