I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan. Car shakes when I hit 80 and above! Is this normal, i mean the van can still go up to 120, 40 miles less then its top speed and it's friggin shaking! is this normal? One thing though, I know that it is definitly not te tires or alignment for sure.

In about 4 months, I am taking a trip where i'll need to be on a fairly large boat in the Pacific for an hour and a half. A friend told me (he's been on that boat and to the same destination) it is ROUGH. I get violently sick on boats and am VERRRY scared. I can't WAIT for the trip but the boat ride alone almost turned me away from going. I'm going to take Bonine, but I don't fully trust it. Does anyone have any experience with it? Does it actually work? If I take it, do you think i'll get sick?? All your help counts and I really appreciate it. Thanks a ton!!

The battery is held down by a plastic wedge, but it isn't tied down by the long pin it used to have. I drive a late model Toyota Corolla. Where can I get a replacement pin on the cheap (w/out going to a dealer and getting ripped)?

I have a 2001 ford focus , standard transmission..
The dashboard will turn on but the engine wont run... no sound or anything.... me and my dad moved the car and he got in and did a trick and it did start that way.. So my question is... is the battery in need of a jump.. or is it the starter? i repeat there is no noise of any kind when trying to start it up... but the dashboard does light up everything. Thanks

Ok, I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the engine light came on yesterday. I tested it using a OBD scan tool that I have and it gives me the trouble code #52. Using the included software and Haynes manual it says "Oxygen sensor signal input indicates rich air/fuel ratio condition during engine operation." Question is, what are the possible causes that would be triggering this code. I have done extensive searching on the internet with no help. I also did testing using a digital multimeter on the MAP sensor, the Air Charge Temperature sensor, and the Throttle Position sensor(TPS) and all were within limits EXCEPT the TPS. It was off just a fraction in the voltage allowed but that should send it's own signal, shouldn't it? I have not checked the O2 sensor yet but will, that is suppsed to throw it's own signal too I thought.

I have a 98 Dodge Stratus and a 99 Ford Escort ZX2. I've taken the stereo out of the Stratus, and would like to put it in the Escort. I've not savvy to the lingo but I'll do my best to explain the problem.

There is a set of wires plugged into the back of the stereo that separate into 2 sets of wires. The plugs on the 2 sets of wires do not fit into the plugs in the Escort. Here are my questions:

1.) Is there an adapter that will connect the 2 sets of (Dodge compatible) plugs into the 2 sets of plugs in the Escort, do I need a different plug that goes into the back of the stereo that has Ford plugs, or do I need to splice into the wires and put on the Ford plugs?

2.) Where can I buy the required parts, and about how much are they? Links to exactly what I need would be appreciated.

3.) What do I do if I cannot find a place to attach the ground? The Stratus has a screw just for it, but I couldn't find one on the Escort.

BTW, the stereo is a Sony CDX-L250

Thanks for your help.

2008 Nissan Altima or the 2008 Nissan Sentra? I know its kinda difficult to compare since they are in different classes but what is a better value? I'm leaning towards the Altima because it has a coupe model also bluetooth and navigation. The Sentra does have bluetooth but no navigation, but better fuel economy and cheaper.

Does the Sentra have enough kick in it? I'm not looking to race but I want enough acceleration for passing on the highway. Do they plan on having a coupe Sentra in the near future?

What would you get and why?

I can't find a website that sells parts for a 1981 and 1982 Yamaha Maxim 550. I need a front blinker set (with arms) for the 1981 and a front blinker set (with arms) and headlight with a stay for the 1982. Can someone tell me where to get these, and which other years/models are also compatible with the 2 said bikes? I have had zero luck on ebay. Also, how much is a reasonable price for the parts listed?

I really appreciate the help, Thanks from a first time owner/rider.

why is it my gmc van does not start when there is humidity in the air? it doesnt NOT start everytime, but it seems that is when it happens most. most times, once it starts, it is good for the day. but the other day, i drove down to the store, and when i walked out, it was dead. what happens is, i turn the key, and all the lights and the radio come on, but when i turn the ignition to start, it does nothing. not even a crank like it wants to start. its frustrating being left at work or the grocery store. please someone help.

ps. i have two theories on the matter. starter or distributor cap.

The tires on my car are filled with Nitrogen. Lately, I've noticed one of my front tires has low tire pressure. Is it ok for me to fill it up with regular air? Do I have to go to a place that has Nitrogen?

Check engine light still on, no problem with ABS light or speedometer. The code is for output speed sensor. Ram 1500, 5.2. Someone mentioned that my oversized tire might be the poblem. I have 285's instead of 225's.

I'm looking into buying either a used Honda Element or Jeep Wrangler, probably around '04 element or '00-'02 wrangler, anyone have any preferences? I live in an area where snow and ice can be an issue in the winter, and I drive pretty far to school and back (lots of gas). Thanks in advance! p.s. please don't tell me if you think the elements are ugly, thats not what i'm worried about ;)

ok here's the problem my car starts up and everthing and if i sit for awhile everthing seems fine when i go to drive once again everything is fine but when i go to stop or make a turn my RPM goes below the 1/2 point and the car cuts off. First it had a vaccuum leak but i got that fixed a week ago now i think its the spark plugs and wires cause if i gently tap on the gas to get the RPM back up before it goes below the 1/2 point the car will not cut off and allow me to stop but the car shakes when i stop and it kind of sounds like its coughing ( i think its mis firing or something) so what do you guys think?

Driving on the left is correct for right-handed people the great majority, here is why:
When changing gear in a UK car with the steering wheel on the right , this is of course correct in the UK etc for driving on the left--------your left hand changes gear and your right hand stays on the steering wheel, (this is safer for right handed people.)
In the USA you hold the steering wheel with your left hand and change gear with your right hand because of course the steering wheel is on the left in the USA--------this is dangerous if you are right handed.
Bicycles: Try mounting a bike in the USA and you will find yourself in the stream of traffic when getting on the bike-- try it yourself- Mounting a bike in the UK is done from the sidewalk by right handed people who find it easier to put their right leg over the bike
Reversing up a steep drive------when I reverse out I hold the steering wheel with my right hand and look over my left shoulder to the rear window. In a USA car you must hold the steering wheel with your left hand and look over your right shoulder to look out of the rear window.. So you must reverse with your left hand on the steering wheel.. Or stick your head out of the window if you want to use your right hand on the steering wheel. ---Dangerous for the 82% right handed majority.
Right handed people who are also "right eyed" have the traffic coming toward them on their right in left hand driving areas , which is the way "right eyed" people are able to react better. When overtaking on a right hand driving USA road the right eyed/handed driver looks in the mirror with the left eye and also views the oncoming traffic with the left eye

Was there ever a memo sent out about valve cover replacement for the Dodge Caravan (1999)?? I was talking with someone about the minor oil smoke (From tail pipe) that the 3.3L V6 seems to develope over time....He said that he had received some memo that said the valve covers were to close to the valves and because of this, the PCV valve would suck oil and cause the smoke problem.....Replacing them with a new modified valve cover set would solve the problem....It doesn't sound right.......I always thought it was a Valve/Ring issue. Not a PCV.......Did anyone out there ever hear about this???
