Ok, so I know cops can catch you speeding by sitting on the side of the road with their radar gun, but can they catch you while they are driving? For example, you're on the freeway going north, and a cop passes you going south, can he/she tell how fast you are going? Also, if you and the cop are going the same direction (the cop is behind you)?

Ther is something on, in my car that is draining my battery. The battery is ok had it checked. I checked all my bulbs that come on ,radio, glove, cigarette lighter, ash tray , hood light, ect. The only electrical part I had put on was my hatch back light, which they taped wires, that was around 2 months ago. But the light is not on all the time just when I apply my brake. The alternater is charging the battery when I start driving. But it does make my ABS light come on, my speedometer bounces, and my engine speed up and then slow down. after a few miles of this she back to normal.

I had to pick between trading in my car and get a car note or getting my transmission fixed and avoiding a car note. I decided to get my car fixed. It has 120,000 miles on it but runs well. My plan is to keep the car for at least a year with a warranty on the trans while saving $ for a down payment. My mother told me I should have traded it in because it costs $2000 to fix. What do u guys think?

I know it can be done, I have done it before a while back. We replaced one of the intakes and now can't get it to run. It starts but just shuts right down because the timing is off (we assume). Trying to get this running today, so any help will be useful.

Our next step is to go buy a timing light, but trying to avoid it as we probably won't need it again and hate to waste the money.

Thanks in advance.

My friend has a 98 sunfire(auto). He recently drove up a hill, and let the car roll back in drive. Within 2 secs. the car had stalled. Do car companies have a auto shutoff when cars roll backwards to quickly in drive.

My girlfriend just purchased a 2006 scion tc. She got it from Marina Mitsubishi in Webster, NY. Before buying, she asked for an autocheck (same thing as carfax) twice and got nothing. When driving the car yesterday we found reciepts in the glove box for $7000 worth of front end damage that had happened with the previous owner. Now the car drives fine and I do know a little bit about cars and I don't really see or notice anything broken but my girlfriend is upset. She feels cheated because she asked the dealer twice and got nothing and then finds out after buying the car that it was in an accident. Is there anything she can do? Again we live in NY and also bought the car in NY from a large dealer. www.marinamitsubishi.com

Ok, see if you can follow me here. I'm a college student in Maryland. I lived in Maryland for the past 11 years as well, so I got my license here a couple years ago. Last year, my parents moved to Nevada, but I still go to school here in Maryland.

Because I no longer live at the address on my license, I have to get it changed/a new one. But what do I put on it? I'm assuming I can't put a Nevada address on a Maryland license. On the other hand, though, I don't have a permanent address here in Maryland because I just go to college here now. Do I have to fly to Nevada to get a Nevada license, even though I don't technically live there? HELP!

I have to step on the break and either go from reverse to park or just push it into park and turn the keys and the car will start. If not the car will not start at all.

i work at a surface coal mine and our access roads are never maintained because our blades are too wide. they are telling me that a contractor costs too much. i work seven, twelve hour days and let me tell you, by day three my insides are mush and i'm in a bad mood-literally. my work truck which is a flat bed ford, 2005 rattles to no end. the doors no longer shut right either and the exhaust and running boards are constantly being rigged back to where they belong. i'm looking for proof that this is bad for us and our trucks. can anyone help?

I left all four windows down the other night b/c naturally in Arkansas we weren't expecting rain. All of sudden at some point in the night it comes a down pour. There was about three inches of standing water in my back floor boards. I need to know if there is anything that can help absorb the water before it mildews other than using just a shop vac to suck it up. Something that walmart or a local automotive shop sells would be great! Thanks!

Okay, last winter the in-laws let my husband and I borrow their 1991 Caprice Classic while my truck was being fixed. It was just an extra car that they had...they have a lot of cars. Anyway, I was driving it and went across an icy bridge. It went out of control, and I totaled it. Needless to say, I have felt completely horrible about it ever since. They reassure me that it was okay, and that accidents happen, but I still feel like crap because of it. I'm wanting to buy them another car to replace the Caprice...but I don't know what kind I should go for. They liked the Caprice, because it was so big and compfortable. I want to get them another something like that...maybe even another Caprice. What kind of big, comfy cars do you think that I should consider?

I ride a 30 minute strip of interstate and backroads pretty much every day ... on one of the backroads when i get off of the interstate there is a small jug handle that used to be for 18 wheelers for a weigh station and the pavement has buckled into a big dirt mound ... sometimes when cars and trucks come tailgating me I pull into this jug handle so they can pass ... the first time I did it I had no idea of the buckle and was riding at it at 50 mph,saw it and knew if I slowed down I would wreck,so I gave it some gas and went over it .... major adreniline rush .... so I do it now and then but recently I have needed to do it to get away from jerks and would like to spot out other "escape ramps" along my route as speeding up may not always get me away from psychos .... can this crack my frame or cause other damage ? Do you ever jump your street bike?

All vehicles including, Bicycles and mobility scooters.
Should all have a registration number and insurance. (Except tax as they are self propelled or electric)

Bicycles do cause damage to other vehicles when crashed and they have no insurance to cover themselfs nor the person or object they hit. (And having a reg number should stop alot of them going through red lights and using the pavements)
