I paid for a 2005 venture van, when I went to get new tires the guy told me the van was a 2004 van. I s there any law against the dealership doing this?

It's called a "material misrepresentation." Since the year of the vehicle is a big determining factor for the price, misrepresenting it is against the law.
If I were in your place, I'd look up the price difference between the two, call the dealer, and if they refuse, I'd inform them that I am willing to go to a small claims court case, and actually do it.
Try decoding your VIN number first, and remember, some 2005 models WERE manufactured in 2004 and that's perfectly legal.

It should say on your title and registration what year the vehicle is. Also look around the door frame of the passenger door. There should be a label with all the info including the build date of the car.
If the title says its a 2005, and that label says its 2005, then its a 2005. If they dont match up then there is a problem.
Unless you can show some proof that the dealer lied to you about the year of the vehicle then you really dont have much to go on. Regardless, if its a good van and you are happy with the vehicle i really wouldnt worry much about it. There really wouldnt be no difference in between a 2004 and 2005 as long as its been well maintained.
There is a good chance the tire guy could be wrong. A 2004 and 2005 van would probably use the same size tires anyways, they normally dont make drastic changes in cars in one model year.
EDIT:
One other thing. My car, i bought it new in January of 2001. The build date on the door frame label says December of 2000. But the car is technically a 2001. It can be confusing at times.

You can do the check yourself & count back 8 digits on your VIN #. If it starts with 4 it's a 2004, 5 it's a 2005, etc.

Like everyone stated, first look at your paper work. Look under the hood and look at the emissions sticker and make sure it reads for the 2005 year model. On your VIN, make sure the 10th digit is a 5 and not a 4. You want to make sure of these things before making yourself a fool. Make sure the paper work states it is a 2005 model. You cannot prove on verbal's unless it is transcripted or recorded. Your paper work could hurt you or help you.

Are you sure that the guy who at the tire store looked at the tag right? Just cause it might say 9/04 doesnt make it an 04 it was just the date it was built. If your registration says 05 then it's probably an 05. You can look up your vin number and check it yourself.

RECHECK ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK VERY CAREFULLY, I DON'T LIKE DEALERSHIPS BUT FOR THEM TO DO THIS AND MISREPRESENT SOMETHING AS SEVERE AS THIS THEY WOULD BE IN A WORLD OF HURT.
YOU CAN ALSO CALL THE MANUFACTURE AND ASK THEM TO CHECK THE VIN FIRST BEFORE YOU CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP.
IF IN FACT THEY DID MISREPRESENT THIS YOU ARE BY LAW ENTITLED TO ALL MONIES BACK INCLUDING ANYTHING THAT YOU DID TO THE VEHICLE.
