I am OCD about tire pressure. My gauge is a good one, but I would like to compare it to some sort of proven standard. So if my gauge reads "33 pounds" and the standard shows 35 pounds, I'll know to add 2 pounds to my gauge's readings.

Ok, i'm 16 years old and everyone knows that when you turn 16 you want to learn how to drive. But everytime I think that i'm ready to drive, i hear about somebody around my age died in a car accident because they didn't know what they were doing. So i'm asking, when do you think is the right time to start learning how to drive?

Okay, I have a 1998 Plymouth Neon...I bought it for like 800 bucks...which I think was a really good deal. Anyway, we just got a new rack and pinion put in it, because it was leaking power steering fluid horribly. But now, if we turn the wheel a certain way you can hear this sort of creaking sound...like somebody walking on a creaky floor. There are no apparent problems with the steering or drivability that I can tell...just that noise. What do you think it could be? Also, when we first start the car and use the brakes, they will make a screeching noise. But after we've been driving it for a few minutes, it goes away. We've checked the pads and shoes and everything is fine with that. What are your opinions on what these things could be?

I ride an 05 Shadow Spirit 750. I recently purchased a set of 14" ape hangers. I know which risers to purchase. What I need is a list of all other parts I will need to complete the project. What cables, wires or ANYTHING else I will need. I'm trying to do all of this over the internet 10000 miles from home and would like to have everything waiting when I get home from deployment. Any help would be appriciated. Also, if anyone knows for sure what length to order the cables it would be a HUGE help. Thanks!

About a year ago I was driving down the interstate when my car started beeping at me. I took it into a dealership, but the beeping had stopped and they were unable to find any problems with the car. After that time my car will intermittently beep at me for no reason. The speed has no effect, no controls (such as heat, air, radio, etc.) matter, and yes, other people have heard it :)

For the most part it is a quiet, low continuous background noise. Occationally it will be a door, seatbelt, warning chime. Again there is no pattern. A few times its even been a loud continuous beep. It doesn't happen everyday by any means. Sometimes it will be months without it happening, then it will happen a few days in a row (and the outside tempature seems to have no effect).

Anyone have any bright ideas on what this could be? Ever heard of anyone else having this problem?

The four bolts securing the column to the dashboard are tight. My next step is to pull the steering wheel.

If tires were made of lead, car and truck rollovers would be almost non-existent. Why has no one thought of this yet?
