Both of our vehicles have Michelin "Hydro-edge" tires. They are very good in wet conditions and have a 95,000 mile trad life.
Remember that with any choice you should rotate the tires every 6,000 miles to maximize tread life and minimize wear.

You didn't mention where you live (winter months) but there is a much better tire to handle hydroplaning, light and heavy snow. Go to tirerack.com and check out the Yokohama TRZ. When you find the tire check out the survey section beneath the picture of the tire. Compare all the tests with the tires you have picked. You'll be pleasantly surprised!
