It's not too likely that the turn signal switch burns out on both sides. Usually this is a bulb or fuse problem. If fuses and bulbs are good, it is most likely the hazard switch/flasher assembly unit that is on the dash. The flasher module on all of GM products is crap. Turn everything on and give the hazard switch a whack and if the signals start working, that's what is wrong.

I own a shop, and your question is missing a few details here. It is obvious that it wouldn't work, but what is it doing or not doing? When you turn your left signal on, look at the lights both front & back to see if they light up, and repeat this for the other side. If all four lights are coming on, but not blinking, then replace the blinker located in the fuse block, or hanging around the emergency brake area under the dash. It is usually round, silver, yellow, or orange, plastic, and is located in the top portion of the fuse block under the dash, or on the side of the dash near the door. Turn on the emergency flashers, and find the one that is clicking under the dash, and the one for the brake lights will look just like it, and will be in the same area as this one.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

If you have no turn signal left or right, check your car manual to locate the fuse or turn flasher. When lever is in turn mode you should hear the flasher clicking.
