I am gettting ready to trade in a car that is lealing oil through the exhaust. I'm talking pretty heavy leakage, about 1 qt every 200 miles. It's not burning it, just spitting it out the exhaust, suspect it's a exhasut valve gasket.

Anyhoo.... Should I disclose this info when I trade in the car? I DON'T want to give the dealership any free info to screw me, but I'm not a dishonest person either. Is it considered dishonest, or even somewhat illegal to supress info about major defects that you are aware of when trading in? Other than the oil loss, the car is a perfect 2000 Celica GT..Thanks !!

The blinkers on my '05 jeep wrangler have quit working and I can't figure out why. I have already checked the bulbls and fuses and wires. My dad says that I might have blown a relay, but I can't find one for the blinkers, or flashers(hazard lights). Can some one please help me?

Both of these insurance companies have significantly lower rates than what I currently pay at American Family, but by switching am I going to get discount service as well?
I am a 25 year old male with two accidents and one speeding ticket in the past five years. Currently pay around close to $1000/6mo at AmFam, both Geico and Progressive are close to $500/6mo.

The city has been ragging on me about my two cars in my driveway. These are not daily drivers and are restoration project cars. One is a 78 trans am and the other is a 87 fire bird gta. Both are not the most pleasant looking but I have plans. Still, these are my cars, and something I want to fix someday. Money is tight, so I cant really rush on them like the city demanded.

The city tells me one second they fall into special interest and the next they say junked and they want them gone. I have five days to get rid of them or they are towing them at my cost.

What are my legal options and how is this fair for them to just tell me what I can and cannot have car wise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My neighbor is the one who has complained and complains about everything I do btw and there are other cars a few streets up just like mine and have been sitting for years. I think I have been selected out personally.

There has been 12 fatalies in Toronto highways this past weekend, most of which are caused by reckless driving, excessive speed, unsafe lane change etc. I noticed in the past year people are becoming more and more insane in their driving. Cutting off other cars and big rigs and going at close to double the speed limit. On one hand the police are trying hard to send the message that aggressive driving is unacceptable, while auto makers are selling cars using power and speed as the key selling point. The average sport car has more than 250+ horsepower with some high end ones having more than 300 to 400 horsepower. Is this really needed? And people who buy these cars, do you believe they are not going drive fast. The problems comes when egos meet as drivers who spent $ on their cars refuse to be topped by someone else and you have an instant street race. These auto makers are acting like arms dealer who sell machines of death just so they can maximize their profits.

The starter motor on my 85 Pontiac Fiero passes tests on bench testers, and spins and extendeds if you hold on to it while it hooked up to the car, however when it is bolted up to the block and engages the flywheel all that happens is the solenoid clicks like mad. The battery is good, that has been verified, I have just replaced the battery cable down to the starter, we added a ground using jumper cables, that also failed to help. Curious if this is an alignment issue, of if perhaps the solenoid is failing only under the load of engaging the flywheel. The starter is new a couple days ago, and the solenoid is less than a month old.

I am thinking of buying an older (1985) Honda Accord. The seller says it has a bad head gasket. How much will it cost to replace and is it something I can do myself? I am somewhat handy and can follow step by step instructions. If this is a 60 to 90 minute fix I may do it myself. Otherwise, how much should a shop charge?

Lately I've been seeing alot of ads about Crossover vehicles. I've even seen the Hyundai Veracuuz. Is there any advantage in owning one versus a MiniVan or an SUV? I now own a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. I think that it is one of the best vehicles available today

My license is suspended and I just got pulled over. By the grace of God the officer never ran my license. I feel really lucky. He did give me a ticket for speeding. my question is: Am I in the clear of getting a ticket for "driving on suspended"
I am eligible for defensive driving school. So the ticket would not even show up as a "conviction". Any advice would be appreciated. And I am in arizona. Thanks

Lets start off with I DON’T CARE if you think that extended service plans aren’t a great investment. For us, the peace of mind is worth the cost. Which isn’t to say we don’t care about the cost.

So, my wife’s Road King is about to run out of factory warranty and we want to purchase the 5 year (total of 7 years) extended service plan. Do any of you have a suggestion where we can purchase the extended service plan at a good discount.

If you work at a HD dealership and want to offer me the discount direct without going public feel free to contact me directly by email.

I would like to buy this week.

Thank you for your time and info.

Which new car would you rather have with your budget? MB are the least dependable, but probably the most luxurious. BMW's are nice, but every1 has one and they cost a crapload to fix. Audi's are definitely the best in snow and mud and rain, but also expensive to fix. Which make and model?

I am a first time rider and I want to know how do you go down a steep hill, what speed should I be going, do I continually keep on the brakes, should I use just the front just the rear or both. On my way home after work I have to go down a hill thats about at a 45 degree angle, or steeper. It runs about a mile long, maybe 3/4 of a mile I haven't really checked. Going up the hill is fine, but im not sure how to get down. Im at work right now and im kind of freaking out about going down hill. Oh and I ride a 07 Yamaha R6s, My wife surprised me with it. Don't worry im on my lunch break. Any help would be appreciated.

A few weeks ago our 99 Ford Winstar Van would lose battery power and go dead after a day of sitting in the driveway. We got a new battery and the problem still persists. There's no indication of any interior lights or things being left on. Something is draining the battery and we can't seem to pinpoint it. Any suggestions? It seems the problem started after taking the van through a drive through car wash. Not sure if that's relevant or not. If you have some ideas let me know. Thx
