I'm looking to have a motor put in but I want to buy the motor from a shop that will put it in. I live in the D/FW area. I drive a 93 240sx, and want a red top sr20, FMIC, and Exhaust. Done by someone reliable in the area. Any suggestions?

i need to know for a driver's ed project where you can find parking lights. I need to find them on a fairly new car. The parking lights on the front are white or amber. The parking lights on the back are red. just tell me if they are on the side or the same lights as the tail lights?

I'm interested in buying a used car from a dealership. I was able to haggle the listed price down to $16K, but the dealer won't go farther down. The out-the-door cost after tax and other fees is about $17,700. The price on KBB is $16K for good condition, $17K for excellent (private party). If the price on kbb is supposed to be representative of the listed price, I should be getting an ok deal. But not so much if it's the out-the-door price. So which is it? The car is in like-new condition, btw, according to my mechanic, but there is no warranty included/offered from the dealer, and no other extras offered. I don't know if this matters, but this is a rather rare car to find (not made anymore).

I am thinking about buying a car. The car cost 15, 000 dollars. Do I pay for the car in cash or do I leave the cash in a Money Market account and let it accrue intrest at 5% while paying the car off in three years.

I drove my car to work this morning, and it worked just fine. After work, I got in the car and tried to start it and nothing happened. (NOTE: I UNLOCKED THE CAR WITH THE KEYLESS REMOTE) You could barely see any lights on the dash. I got the car jumped and I drove it home. Once home, I turned the car off and tried to start it again. Nothing. So, I took the battery to Auto Zone and the battery tested GOOD. The Auto Zone guy told me to test the alternator by taking of the positive battery cable while the car is running. If the car cuts off, then the alternator is bad. Well, I tried this and the car stayed on! My mom noticed before she jumped the battery that when she pressed down on the top of the battery where the water goes, the car would come on! We put water in the battery but still the car wouldn't start. After jumping yet again, I let it run for about twenty minutes, cut it off, and now it starts right back up. Could it be the alternator or a bad connection??

hello i just bought a suzuki gz 250 for a starter bike and i noticed when i move the bike i can hear a grinding sound coming from the front brakes even when im not applying any brakes now when i do apply brakes is sounds like metal on metal obvously i need new pads already on there way but why is the caliper sticking when there isnt any break beeing applyed i checked the fluid level and quilty and there dosnt seem to be anything wrong in that area will the new pads fix these probs and if not what should i do thank you

I have a 98 Ford Taurus. If I run it for a while and turn off engine, it could not be started right away. I need to wait for about 10-20 minutes and everything works fine then. Today it happened again. My friend just hit the starter with a sticker. It just worked.
What is the problem it could be?

BTW,
There are some other problems which I am not sure if they are related:
1. The turning signal/hazard flash light intermittently fail. After I changed the flasher, the problem is gone.
2. This problem rarely happens and happens just twice. The fan kept running after I turn off engine. I know this is normal if it lasts for just couple of minutes but my car's fan runs like for hours and almost drained the battery. Thank god, this only happened twice.

Any info is appreciated.

When I run the fan in my car without the AC turned on, I get this scent that smells like vinegar and smelly feet. I understand that this may be due to mold in the system. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this odor?

Ive heard alot of people give there oppeninon withmufflers and not open headers but my thing is why do nhra dragracers use just headers also on a point iI had an88lx50 and ran off my stock headers never had a prollem burning up gaskets or anything of that nature just neihbors bitching about loud noise but my car was no louder than alot of choppers ive heard so back to my question why mufflers not open headersalso my car did high 15s with the h pipe and flowmasters when i cut off my exuast and ran my stock headers iwould do low15s so someone with knoledge talk to me

I have a 1998 ford mondeo 2.0 whose gearbox is burn out caused by the leakage of gearbox. The garage told me that it will cost me 1200 pounds to fix it. That's very expensive for me. I find a used gearbox from Internet, but there's no one garage which is willing to replace it with my gearbox. Can I replace it by myself or it's too difficult for me ? thanks.

Why are Japanese cars more reliable than European cars, especially considering the reputation of European cars ... not to mention the prices?
