I never heard of one not requiring it, but the manual doesn't say so-- It does call for repalacement of an "engine accessory drive belt" at 120K. Is that the same thing?

The coil on a Honda CR 80h has a primary spec of about 0.4 to 0.6 ohms, the secondary circuit should be 10.6 to about
15.4 k ohms. My primary resistance checks out, but the secondary, plug lead to negative lead on coil, reads only 4 k ohms. Not the required 10.6 minimum. So my question is, this clearly shows a malfunction, but what is it actually wrong with the circuit, it can't be a broken wire inside or i would have no reading at all, if the needle was to shoot up or down, to the 0 and beyond indicates closed circuit of course. I know that, but at a lesser reading, the 4 in this case I take it that there is a continuation although with less resistance to pass the current, (or it volts? ) through the circuit, than the expected higher resistance of 10 .6 +.
so what conditions would indicate the lesser reading, damage? deterioration?
any ideas?

Recently my mechanic changed out my air intake control valve because my rpms were fluctuating between 400 and 1300 during idle and causing me to stall out because it was running so low. So everything was fine for a couple days but after about a week, the rpms are still fluctuating enough to jerk my truck while I'm in idle but its not stalling it. He told me that I should bring it in so he can reset the computer and that i need to drive 20 minutes in stop and go traffic plus 20 minutes on the highway to train it to my type of driving habits and than wait for the engine to cool and do it once more. Does this sound credible? I am going to end up trying it anyways but I just want some other peoples inquires of my situation.

I drive a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quadcab.

I'm looking for a relatively inexepensive amp that will cleanly power my stock speakers. I'm pulling my stock radio and putting in a car pc in it's place, so it will be a line out from the pc's audio card to the amp to drive the speakers. I'm thinking around 40W RMS x 4 is plenty for me. Is there anything good for under $100? I don't want a bunch of crap and hissing noise but I'm not looking at getting a thumping system either. Just clean.

Here is my problem. I recently had to get another vehicle, for work. Due to past credit problems, charge-offs, and repos I had to go this route. Keeping my job was important to me, so at the time I had no choice. Now my eyes are open to what a ripp-off this is. Completed my downpayment of $800 although I told them I only had $300 to put down, which they accepted. My payments are $169.77 twice a month, for a 2000 Saturn that had 105,000+ miles on it. Will be paying on this car for 3yrs. After finally "really reading" the contract I was all but happy about my choice. How do I get out of this situation legally? Know defaulting will not help my credit situation, but it's already bad. What can I do? Am really in need of some sound advice, cause this is really hurting me financially.

I have a 1996 Buick LeSabre, custom edition. When I start the car the first time, the engine doesn't start. When I start the car the second time, the the engine revs up and the car shakes, makes weird noises (dananana....putt putt putt) but the engine is still running. The "check oil" and the "check engine" light comes on. Then when I go to press down on the brake (which is heavy) and switch gears...the car makes a loud boom noise and the engine shuts off. I have 110,888 miles on the car. I recently got an oil change, a new coil pad, and a new battery. I need help from an expert...I am low on cash. Does anyone know what is wrong with the car?

I'm travelling far from home, so I don't have access to my NADA Classic/Collector car price guide, nor do I have much access to the web right now to do a thorough search. Looking for the following info:

1) Value for a 1972 Mustang. Its a 4 Speed, the VIN is 52F05Q238254 (the first character might be a J instead of a 5, not sure, there was some dirt on the windshield). The only code I was able to clearly get off the block was 13728548 (off the manifold). It appears to have a 2 Barrel Carb. The hood indicates it has a 351 engine, which looks about right from what I could see looking at the engine itself.

In any case, I'd like a range of value, from its present condition to what it might be worth fully restored.
