I'm looking for a relatively inexepensive amp that will cleanly power my stock speakers. I'm pulling my stock radio and putting in a car pc in it's place, so it will be a line out from the pc's audio card to the amp to drive the speakers. I'm thinking around 40W RMS x 4 is plenty for me. Is there anything good for under $100? I don't want a bunch of crap and hissing noise but I'm not looking at getting a thumping system either. Just clean.

Suggestions on places to go to buy an amp are helpful, but I'm looking especially for certain brands or even models to consider. Thanks!

Or try www.cardomain.com
then click on store. They have good amps for low prices. The lower the Wattage the lower the price is for the amp. One thing that I have heard of from people installing the carputer is that they do get alternator whine. So if you do get that make sure your grounding points are very good (no paint at all, just bare metal), if you are still getting that then you will need to get a ground loop isolator.

check out the pawn shops in your area....i think what your looking for and the price your paying is very reasonable.

i would maybe go with a sony or something - to be quite honest, even some of the cheaper brands aren't that bad nowadays.
