Unless your ford explorer doubles as a rocket ship 5 seconds is way too low. The average sports car is about 6-6.5 seconds. On average SUVs are 7-8 seconds.

The listed time in magazines for the ford of your year is 8.5 seconds.

It should have taken you about to 6 to 7 seconds to get to 60 mph.

did you buy that Explorer from John Force or his family??? anything that fast, would have to come from a drag racer.

the time you gave is way too fast. Somewhere around 8 seconds would be about right.

I dont believe that there is anyway you got from 0 to 60 in five seconds. I have a v8 lexus and it takes about 7.5 to 8. Your car is heavier and less powerful. A dodge viper gets to 60 in 4.3 seconds. A FIVE HUNDRED HORSEPOWER VIPER. so i wont believe you untill i see it done.

the other guy is right. your explorer should take more than 7 seconds, if not 10, as seeing it is a ford and all

Katie, your explorer must be the SVT Cobra explorer.

I think you might need to recheck the time it takes you to accelerate unless you where going downhill.
