Okay..heres the deal. I recently bought a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe with 50000 miles on it. I was offered an extended warranty of 3 year/36000 bumper to bumper and I took it. After looking over the paper work the warranty is going to cost $2400! I can get the contract canceled without charge because it hasn't been 25 days. Should I just take the chance and go without it? The Carfax report was clean. Isn't that a bit much for a warranty? Thank you guys for any advice

I need a new engine, but my mom keeps telling me that I should go ahead and get a tune-up anyway. I told her that I wouldn't pass emission inspection because I need a new engine, but she thinks a tune-up might help. Is she right? Please help.

That's selling his car on Craigslist. It is a 2004 Chevy cavalier and it looks fantastic. The car only has 49,000 miles and it still looks new. He also listed the price for the car as $4500. I thought this amount sounded a little low but then again I know nothing about cars and what they are worth. Anyway, I asked him why he was selling the car and he said he is selling it because he moved to London and doesn't need it. In the e-mail he lowered the price of the car to $3500. I don't know why because I certainly didn't ask him to lower it. And he also offered to pay for the shipping for that car and would send it from London to Texas for free. Does the fact that he reduced the price of the car without my asking and offered to ship it for free, sound like a scam? He said all I needed to do was give him my info like address and stuff and I could be a new car owner!

I was in my garage parked, behind my garage is a fire lane, no one is supposed to park there but people do because it gets crowded around here where I live.

So anyhow my garage is on a slope up so when I looked out my rear view mirror I saw nothing, I backed up and I hit this stupid little car.

I'm told if there is a car parked illegally in a fire lane and someone hits him, he's automatically at fault, is this true??

My boyfriend is interested in the railroad business after ETS'ing from the military. I was wondering which states offered the best income for rail workers (conductor is what he's thinking) but I know theres other positions he may have to cover before "going up the ranks".

I turns over fine. But I am not getting a spark. The strangest thing happend though, after about the millionth time, it started. So I ran it for a minute and turned it off and it turned on again with no problem. The next day it took only about half that many trys to start it and it started. Yesterday I couldn't get it to spark at all. It turns over fine but will not spark. I did replace a calble that goes to the throttle lever. do you think I have a bad switch or what?

I've bought a gadget which improves fuel efficiency and this needs to be fitted to the fuel 'in' pipe. Being a girl, I'm not sure which pipe this is. The Cooper is a 53 plate righthand drive.

i have a 4x4 automatic transmission SUV.

few days from now, i will be travelling out-of-town. and there's a lot of ascending and descending roads and it's all concrete

should i use the 4H or 4L? what about my transmission, should i shift to lower gear?

but the manual said i should NOT use 4x4 in dry roads...what should i do if the road is dry and concrete but has inclined /declined surface?
can it possibly damage my transmission?

pls advice. thanks

I have a 95 mitsubishi eclipse and am having troubleshooting a problem in the braking system..... anyone?
This morning I got on the freeway about five miles from my house, got up to 60 and then it started slowing down... when it slowed finaly to a stop. After that I tried to move it and realized the brakes were locked down on the wheels and the brake pedal won't budge... it is stuck no matter how hard I try to push it.... I'm not sure how many of the wheels are locked but at least some are.... I'm assuming that it is not all of them because I can still move the car and get it up to twenty as long as it is in first gear.... any ideas?
also, there is plenty of break fluid in it.
