I've bought a gadget which improves fuel efficiency and this needs to be fitted to the fuel 'in' pipe. Being a girl, I'm not sure which pipe this is. The Cooper is a 53 plate righthand drive.

Your best bet is if you dont want to buy a haynes manual try the local library there isnt that information online, intersting comment about the magnets, the theory behind that is that they use a magnetic force to align the fuel molecules and slightly alter the properties of the fuel to improve combustion, ive used it in the past and saw a slight improvement, and im not sure that its a proven thing but hell if nasa use it on the shuttle ( i have a friend whos a technician for them in proppulsion and he confirmed they do use the principle) then there must be something in it

Did you buy one of those stupid magnet things?
Oh, I sure hope not.......

Just between you and me, any of those contraptions is a waste of money, and does absolutely NOTHING.
