That's selling his car on Craigslist. It is a 2004 Chevy cavalier and it looks fantastic. The car only has 49,000 miles and it still looks new. He also listed the price for the car as $4500. I thought this amount sounded a little low but then again I know nothing about cars and what they are worth. Anyway, I asked him why he was selling the car and he said he is selling it because he moved to London and doesn't need it. In the e-mail he lowered the price of the car to $3500. I don't know why because I certainly didn't ask him to lower it. And he also offered to pay for the shipping for that car and would send it from London to Texas for free. Does the fact that he reduced the price of the car without my asking and offered to ship it for free, sound like a scam? He said all I needed to do was give him my info like address and stuff and I could be a new car owner!

Shipping a car for London to texas would cost a bundle ?
Sound like the scam that happened to a local women, she purchaes an ATV from a guy in Italy on EBAY. He said he would give her free shipping (From Italy $$$$$).
He want a Western Union money gram, not paypal.
She never got her ATV, the ebay sell (from the usa , not Italy, account got hacked.

It sounds a little fishy to me. First, the value of the car is around $6,500 (www.kbb.com). Also, it costs thousands of dollars to have a car shipped somewhere. If he is selling it for significantly less than it's value, it could have major problems. In this situation, I would be skeptical of buying the car without first seeing it. All of these facts make it sound like the deal would turn out badly for you.
