I need extended parking brake cables for a 1973 Ford F250 with a dana 60 rear, truck has a 4" lift kit in it and the stock brake cables i have do not reach...help!

I have been told that it is much wiser to buy a used car - a few months old with about 2000-3000 miles on it - than buying a new car since it depreciates as soon as it leaves the showroom.

Is that true? I am planning to buy a Toyota corolla, what kind of depreciation should i expect and how much less than MSRP do you think should I pay ? (A % range is also ok).
Would buying a "toyota Certified" used car help?

Are there any other aspects I must look into in the buying process?

I recently brought my car to the dealership for it's regualr warranty service. They told me that my front two tires were a little worn down and they needed to be replaced. The dealership offered to replace them for a hefty fee of $330 for two tires! I kindly declined. I did the ol' tread to the penny trick, and my tread is still good. So do you guys think I just should have the front two tires move to the back. And have my back tires moved to the front? I have no problem with finding cheap tires to replace it, but I just wanted to know if rotating them would just be better than replacing them.

5.8 v8 4wd. I bought this truck and the owner said the a\c does not work ,And true it does not. I was looking through the truck and found a wiring harness just laying around and it fits to the compresser. My question is where can i find a wiring diagram to figure out to connect the remaining connections? There are a total of 5 connectors on it. If i can get it connected i may be able to find out what is wrong with the system.

I don't know what to do, I need to learn to drive. Not to go party with my friends... I don't have any. But it's a needed life skill, the problem is I'm just soooo bad at it. I had driving instructors that were the top rated in yahoo locals (yea... real credible), yet I totally failed my road test. I hit the curb on the parallel park, I make wide turns, he asked me to make a u-turn from a 4 lane road, the exterme right to the extreme left, and I couldn't even move because nobody would let me in. I don't even know how the side mirrors even work! What are you even supposed to see, let alone, when can you look at it while moving if you have to look in front of you.

I have a loan through a bank (cash) I still owe approx. $8500.00 on it - I would like to get an auto loan to purchase a new car - my question is can a person consolidate a loan through an auto loan pay off the loan for the bank and have the money left to buy a car. I've been thinking about buying a new car. Since Standard transmissions are economical I've been leaning that way. However, I remember having standard transmissions in my earlier days from VW bugs to Ford Pintos, to a current farm truck, and each and everyone one of them, needs the clutch replaced sooner or later. On the otherhand, my automatic transmissions seem to go forever just on a filter change every so often Read, once every three or four years or when I can remember to do it).

So my question, since I'm too lazy to dig for the information myself, is: How much gas do you have to save to payback the cost of a clutch job (since I'm no longer able to crawl underneath the car and do it myself).

I know there are lots of variables here, but think that the difference between a standard tran and an automatic is around $500, and there is only a mile or two difference in milage.
