in case you have been waiting to cost the battery then force to paintings or everywhere, and then not initiate after shutting it off, it must be your alternator isn't charging (possibly it expenses sufficient to not make the fool gentle come on) your battery does not have recharged as you have been utilising. you've undesirable connections at the two the battery terminals (even nevertheless they seem sparkling and tight they could not be) or undesirable connections on the different end the place it attaches to engine (floor) or solenoid (to starter). it ought to possibly be the solenoid itself. in case you have replaced the starter and have examined the battery (a competent battery lasts approximately 3 years on everyday) have the alternator output checked, it'd be approximately 13-15 volts. There are too many stuff that could reason this to take place and that i say sorry for the vagueness of the respond...yet those may be the flaws to envision

okay..if your battery truly is chargeing up..then it's cells are fine..most batteries are usually a 14.

if the engine isn't turning over then the alternator really isn't being activated..hense no rechargeing of the battery by the car itself..if the car starts and then the battery looses it's charge..it's probably the altenator

I'm thinking it probably is your starter..have someone listen under the hood when you start the car..can they hear the ping? that sound is the starter piston activating//
if you don't hear a ping..some people reach underneath the car and hit the starter with a blunt instrument..forcing the piston to release..

I would first suggest you clean the battery up well..then clean up your connections to the starter..then the ground to the car's body...use coke and a wire brush...go easy on the starter itself..

Does the engine sound like it wants to turn over?

Please don't keep cranking on the starter...do it once..and then let it cool down...

try jumping the car..if it starts then drive it over to autozone..they will hook up a machine that will test your alternator/starter and battery for free..

Could be the alternator but going down that quick sounds more like bad battery except if it's that bad shouldn't take a charge. Are you sure the starter is not stuck. Are you sure the battery is really charging up? Seems like it has to be the battery, alternator, or starter. Good connections?

battery isn't storing a charge another part is you letting it crank to long. you should turn the engine over only for 5 seconds at a time then let starter cool for five seconds an engine should start in the first second!

If you have a voltmeter gauge in your vehicle, then see if it is at around 14 volts. If at 14 then check your battery, if not showing close to 14 then replace your alternator.

It could be a couple of things. It may be your alternator or you could have a wire touching something metal. Your battery posts may need to be cleaned as well. A can of coke will usually do the trick.
