if it is ridden on the street, you need one on the left side to be legal, and one on the right to be safe.

Other guy is right about the one mirror to be legal...but 2 to be safe of course! Full gear man, especially an R1 cuz it's not the best for street riding. The same as in the car...check your mirrors and blind spots often, especially on a bike, you'll need to know your "way out" when a cager doesn't see you.

Stop and think-SAFTEY FIRST. If you would like to live to see old age.Mirrors,helmet,gloves.and a lot of common sence will make your motor cycle a safe ride.

if a motorcycle was made with mirrors on them use them. they are there for a reason.
