Windex stinks, paper towels seem to make matters worse. I have heard newsprint works well but I just dont see that. What are some products and techniques that work best?

Im a helicopter mechanic and to clean windows on the helicopter we use either windex or rubbing alcohol and newspaper. It helps to absorb the smell and leaves a streak free shine! I clean my home and car windows like this too and it works well. Hope this helps!

Newspaper is the best. Just don't use the ads or anything colored. And there is no way around the windex smell, it has to have the ammonia to dry without streaks.

I use an auto glass cleaner and a good low lint paper towel. The newspapers started using soy based ink and it comes off on your hands, and just makes a mess.

Sam's club sells a product that is called Sprayway glass cleaner. It's great. Does a really good job and not streaky. I clean the dash, etc, with it also.
