okay so i live on this really quiet road and i mean REALLY QUIET!!! we get about two cars a day + the house owners. is it okay if i bulid a go-kart and use it on the road? if not what does it need to be road legall?

The car was running fine and one morning it is electrically dead turn the key you get 1 click then nothing no interior lights and it wont accept a jump start what are the possible causes I am thinking maybe the starter but not sure.

I need to know if there is a sensor or what other possible things could be wrong. It shifts fine except when you get around 50mph it won't go into overdrive so the rpm stays at 3. It doesn't leak or burn oil it has around 114,000miles. Please help!!

I'm a chick with an 85 Chevy truck and I try to maintain and replace faithfully. I only put about 7,000 mi. per year on it, if that. A neighbor told me if the oil looks dark brown and smells kinda burnt I need an oil change. So I did that then. Currently the oil is kinda medium brown. Those '3,000 mi' or 3 mo.' rules of Jiffy Lube seem a little extreme to me, plus they try to sell me everything in the shop, including a radiator flush that totally blew my radiator apart. So, sometimes I use a Jiffy Lube to change my oil, sometimes my car mech neighbor. Can someone tell me the real scoop on car oil-- what should acceptable oil look like? Do I follow the 3 month suggestion even if I've only driven 1400 miles in 3 months?
PS The truck doesn't burn any oil. 128,000 orig. mi.

My dad has a 99 stratus, and it loses an AC charge in about 4 days, so he just stopped filling it. Now I might buy it, and I was seeing if I could troubleshoot the system. In the hose (high pressure) leading from the compressor to the evaporator, there is an oil leak in the connection. I swabbed some of the oil onto my finger and the UV light revealed some of the flourecant dye in the oil. Is this common? What do I do? Is it cheap to fix?

If you have a good answer, could you let me know that you aren't just some stupid kid? Thanks

I was wondering if supplying subwoofers with not enough power will actually damage the subwoofer or if it will just not sound good or hit very hard.

I heard supplying subs with too much power is better than not enough, but will it actually hurt the subs to supply them with too little power?

I put a little marvel mistery oil in each barrel, I cleaned out the carb, changed the plugs, the oil, fresh gas, new fuel filter and got it running. i been driving it all week. but now its doing something wierd it wont start . it seems like its not getting gas. it will fire up but then it just dies like its runing out of gas or it will start and idle but when put in gear it die. any ideas?

Is propane more effecient AND more economical as an automotive fuel??

I know if you want to convert to propane, you must use a conversion kit, but it may be worth the hassle.

Any ideas about the problem? I pour water in drive about 3 miles its all gone i think its a leak in the radiator or hose going to it if its the hose must be a big hole!
Any clarification on this would be great, and as i know nothing about cars how much will a garage charge to fix it?

I'm 4'11 and I've been wanting to buy a sports bike. Everyone has told me that it would be no problem and that I can get a Ninja 250 or an old Aprilia and then buy a lowering kit and get the seats shaved off. I was happy to hear this but when I went bike shopping the salesman at the dealership said that there was no way I can get a sports bike because of my height and that I'd have to get a cruiser.

He said that if I lowered the 250 to where my toes can reach the ground, that the exhaust would scrape and he said other things as well.

Can anyone advise me of a way to get around this? Thanks! :(

It heats up fine for a while (lovely hot water, so not an element problem) then throws a wobbler and pops out the reset button. Could this be because the thermostat is turned up too high, or is the thermostat likely to be broken altogether?
