The car was running fine and one morning it is electrically dead turn the key you get 1 click then nothing no interior lights and it wont accept a jump start what are the possible causes I am thinking maybe the starter but not sure.

its the battery...same thing happened to me a few times and its always the battery. if ur not sure...take ur battery out and have it checked...if ur battery is good..ur alternator is bad cause it cant hold a charge.

I had a similar problem with my 2003. But it took a jump, and than it worked fine then on. We even blew a hundred dollars to have a mechanic double check. Just make sure you do check the battery and the alternator before you mess with anything else.

Is the positive battery terminal all fuzzy and wet? Or is the terminal loose like it is falling out of the battery?
If not check the ground under the battery tray from the engine.

not sure exactly whats wrong with yours be please be aware that there was a recall on the ignition switch wiring on some of the sunfires. call the dealer with you vin # and have it checked for recalls. they are free to have done.

try replacing ur altenator and battery and if that dont work take it to a shop and ask them to look at it
