Mazda Miata MX5 1999 convertible> I'm in Sac, CA and heading to U-pull it and Pick-n-pull tomorrow for my roomies broken tail-lamps lenses(both sides). I went to one in Rocklin, and nothing and a guy said he hadn't seen one there in a while. So, I'm guessing they're kinda slim pickens. Any suggestions? I know...just fgo check it out, but I'm a busy guy during a Saturday and it's alot of gas, and besides I've been getting spoiled using all this technology.:)

I'm shopping for a new or used car and need advice/help deciding on what to buy. Quality and dependability is number one priority, but I also want good fuel economy (25-35 MPG), 4 doors, and a decent amount of power (I don't want anything too sluggish). Price has to be less than $16,000, and no more than 40,000 miles if used.

I'm considering buying a motorcycle by the end of the year. I haven't ridden since I was 12. I have a strong build and I'm not put off by a larger, heavier bike, but would I be better off with a smaller unit to start with? I was looking at the Yamaha cruisers. And I don't care for Harleys.

I just bought a 2001 cavalier, manual trans. this is my first car and I am a total idiot about cars
I am traveling out of the states for three weeks on vacation. I don't know anyone here who can take care of the car while I am gone.
What I want to know is, would it be ok to just leave it in the parking lot ( it is just the apaertment complex parking lot). or is there a service that can store the car for me and make sure the battery will not die while I am gone.
NB. When I bought the car I didn't know if the battery is new or not

I have a 2001 maxima automatic and it just recently started downshifting and upshifting to 1, 2 harsh..i feel it when it downshifts at 60km/h and when it downshifts to first..its very evident its downshifting! however, its not verrry hard...the downshift is wats worrying me..its too feelable

...the transmission flush had been done 20 000km's ago at 107 000km's ....does it need another one now because of rough driving? ...the shifts suddenly became apparent to me within this month or so

Any help would be deeply appreciated!

I am having problems starting my 1972 VW Bus, It started before the winter time. I took out the spark plugs, (out of the engine, but still attached to wire's) and grounded them to the engine block, I tried starting it to see if there was a spark between the spark plugs, and there wasnt. So i now know the problem is the enitial spark, I checked the distributer, the caps look fine and there is no condensation anywhere to be found. Can anyone give me advise for what to buy, or test to see where the problem is? Thank you

It used to be TBI...now it's been converted to a carb...do you think it would have a mechanical governor/rev limiter? I think it'd be really cool to bounce off of it, but i'm afraid to just floor it in neutral, it might rev too high and blow.

i just had my new brakes installed. i noticed that when i roll down the windows and apply the brakes while driving that it makes some noise. when i have the windows up, i don't hear anything. is that ok or did the mechanics do a poor job?

i'd like to have either HKS or Apexi, but all i can find are single or straight thru mufflers. My rear bumper has two muffler tip recesses, so im looking for a muffler with one inlet and two outlets. Only thing i can find is magnaflow and flowmaster, tried both websites and ebay

I have a 2003 Envoy XL and the compressor isn't working properly. The heat nor air is working and I can't go the whole summer w/o air. I was wondering if this is an easy fix w/o taking it to the dealer. If so, could you please help me to fix this problem. Don't have the funds at this time but if I have to take it to the dealer, I will have to get an estimate and save for it.

Are there any tips and advice of getting rid of fearing my car payments if I successfully purchase a good conditioned car? The problem is I never knew how the purchasing process goes because this would be almost my first or second car that I am trying to buy. I am not familiar with buying from an car dealer yet I've bought from an individual before. But I'd rather go into the car dealers for a used good conditioned car or at least a well conditioned vehicle to get around to places and theres ALOT of events going on evolving around me. So I would really appreciate it if anybody would kindly give me any tips, advice, and/or tell me how to get rid of fearing of what the prices and bill payments of the cars I am looking forward to will be. Also I would appreciate very much if I was told EXACTLY how the purchasing-a-car process works and how long the car would actually last for. Thank-You very much! Anyways, I'm a new-ish driver, w/ a used car that I just started driving....few weeks. Well the first full tank went out in like a week, but I was mashing it quite a lot; my brother told me that wastes gas so I don't anymore.

Now it's at half, (Suzuki grand vitara 2003) and I've only gotten like 91 miles off of half a tank, supposedly my tank holds 16.9 gallons, so thats only about 10-11 mpg

Websites say I shold be getting 19 city, is 11 too little even considering A. I mash it ever now and then, and B. my city has TONS of huge hills?

Anyways, are there any tips that would increase my mpg? I hear if you switch into neutral while coasting you'll save, even on an automatic (which I have) is that true?

Any other tips like that one?
