need to know where block drain plugs are on 2003 grand am 3.4?

Couple of inches above oil pan rail between front and rear of block. 9/16 hex heads.

They are in the block, you have one screwed into each side, head of plug is squared, no bigger than a dime...If you are trying to remove old coolant...removing the plugs while in the car will not work... engine has to be tilted to either side to acheive it..But don't confuse drain plug with freeze plug...
