Both the 00' and 06' Impala use high-offset wheel and 5x115 bolt pattern. If your not using a set of take-off rims from a newer Impala 17-inch aftermarket wheels for this application are quite common.

The tire size you have selected, P225/55R17 95_ is close enough on overall diameter to have only a very small impact on odometer and speedometer ratings. It is as close to perfect as one can get. Fit with a 2006 OE wheel or an aftermarket wheel with the proper high offest will be perfect. You should run your tire pressures 2 psi higher than the factory spec for the 16-inch tires though as the 17's have a slightly lower load capacity at the same pressures.

The first number the 225 is the over all diameter of the tire and the 65 and 55 are the percentage of the 225 which is the side wall . So that being said the 225 55 17 is about 3/4 of an inch wider . It should fit

Only if you replace the rims a 16" tire will not fit on a 17" rim

If you get the 17' rims with the tires it will fit OK and the bolt patterns are the same.
