Whoa. No current gunship has 8 miniguns. There have been several models over the years, with a mixture of the 105mm, 40mm, 7.62mm 20mm and 25mm.
In the newer gunships, the 25 is being removed and replaced by the 30mm, the same caliber that is currently used in the A10.
You can run, but you'll just die tired.
Like the C130, it also has chaff and flare defensive systems.

The C-130 is a cargo plane designed to haul supplies and people. The AC-130 is a gun ship designed to kill supplies and people. The AC-130 is one of the greatest aircraft in our arsenal. So if you like to see things get blown up the AC-130 is your plane. If you are into logistics than the C-130 would be your cup of tea.

They are not comparable. The C-130 is a transport, the AC-130 is a gunship.

They have two completely seperate functions. The c-130 hauls things, kinda like a pickup truck, not very sexy, but very functional. The ac-130, is an attack platform, more sexy, but still a 4-door, got it? :)

As far as I know they are the same thing. The AC130 Hercules is a low level cover plane that has gatlin type mini guns mounted on 8 spots along the torso of the plane.

Can't compare them. They are both awsome planes, and I really like both, but they are aircraft for different missions, so they can't be compared. It's like saying "which one's best, the F-22, or the Ferari F-430"...
