I'm currently driving a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire which is literally falling apart.

The next car I purchase needs to be something affordable, hopefully somewhat fuel-efficient, and preferably not a death-trap. I'm a single, 20-year-old woman with no plans on having children any time soon. I'm planning on becoming a teacher, so the money may be an issue. I'm kind of a hippie/environmentalist, so I'd prefer not to get some giant gas-guzzler.

Any (serious) suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My truck was stolen and then found. My insurance is paying to fix the damage done to the body and interior, but is wanting me to pay half to fix the exhaust, which was cut off..Insurance people say that there is rust and it needs to be replaced anyways.. Should I have to pay for this? I already paid a $500 deductable.

I'm looking for a 4-door, newer than '95, power locks and windows, less than 100,000 miles, and small (no truck, suv, van, etc.), if that even matters. I'd really appreciate fact-based responses rather than opinion-based. Thank you.

years ago i bought a "chip" for my 9000t 91' i bought it from a guy on ebay for over 300.00 it was not the red box. i had to change a chip under the drivers seat, and one in the engen compartment, then do a adaptation run uphill w/ weight in the trunk, to teach it how to boost. the guy told me this was a euro modification. anyway the thing worked like a champ, bosted better, w/ a raw hp sound. my guess would be a 40hp gain. the car has blow a head gasket 80k later, and coppled w/ leaking heater core, broken windshild, and other things, the result is ebay parts car. i am trying to find out what this mod is called so i can list it properly. any help would be great. thanks john

Why are BMWs driven by idiots. I'm not jealous. Really. I have a beautiful girlfriend, great ride, lovely apartment, good job, enough money, before you say it's an aspirational thing. But every time i see a Beemer it's being driven by an idiot. Lights on full beam, never indicates, too fast, gunning the engine, too close, wrong lane, fog lights permanently on, not stopping at crossings or red lights. I've lived in 3 countries and can safely say this is true in all of them. Defend yourselves, BMW drivers!!!!!!
