Kicker is going to be the best buy in the long run. Plus Kicker always under rates the RMS power sometimes as low as two amps, sometimes as much as two hundred.

Basically if you but a 1500 watt amp from Kicker, it's going to put out at least 1500 amps, nothing less.

you get what you pay for indeed. i bought 4 kicker amps 2 years ago, and 2 of them are now dead. they just dont turn on anymore. the 3rd amp is under my bed, cause it didnt give my fronts the SQ i wanted, so i swithced to a Excelon amp and the differnce was amazing. the 4th however is in one of my friends cars, and is still working. i dont recomend kicker amps, i laugh at people that think there good in the long run.

with all that said i've never had a hifonics amp. so i cant tell you if there good or bad. honestly i'd get Diamond Audio, Boston Acoustics, Pioneer Premier, Kenwood Excelon, or hell even JL audio if you can find them cheap.

how much total RMS power are you looking for?

good luck.

I install my own car audio and I've done a lot of research, and I personally don't know anyone with a kicker amp, because they are so overpriced and you can get something better for way cheaper. I've heard nothing but good things about hifonics amps. Memphis also have great car audio equipment. Check out this forum. They can really help you out or you can search for the question you want to ask there. You can just type in hifonics and see a list of threads about their amps.

You have great subs, HIfonics is ok, but nothing is better than kicker if you have the green, or a Rockford Fosgate amp! these are the best amps ! Yes you do get what you pay for!

Kicker owns Hifonics amps in performace.
If price is an issue look at Hifonics,JBL.

Kicker lasts longer. I've had 4 Hifonics Brutus 1500D's and I've replaced 3. Spend the money to get the Kickers. I would.

Not only are you looking at amps but you will have to look into upgrading your charging system. *HO Alternator *Some extra batts *A lot of 1/0awg wire I really dont unerstand how you would skimp on the amp when you will have to drop a lot more for just the upgrades. Well good luck. Look into orion amps as well.

I am pushing 4 hi8gh excursion 12's in my truck with 800 watts rms going to each one.

I personally prefer audiobahn amps. Low prices on ebay and lots of actual power
