Your motor was used in 1958 through 1964. It's a 283 with two bolt mains.

Look on the front of the cylinder heads, there are not numbers but a 'shape' like a rectangle, and sometimes the rectangle has more added to it..Take a copy of this shape and go to a Chevrolet or GMC Dealership.They will tell you what hp engine it is.
