it's whoever advance buys it from. it very much could be Valvoline makes it for them. i believe oil is like gasoline there are only so many refiners in the country. the different brands pretty much take the same oil and sometimes they may add some of there own additives. it's like ketchup. a company might bottle for Hinze and out of the same batch do Kroger brand. that's not guaranteed all the time but the cost is usually all in the name. and Valvoline and Havoline are probably comparable to one another.
