I CHANGED THE THEMOSTAT; THEN REPLACED THE THROTLLE BODY. NOW THE ENGINE JUST RACES. WHEN I DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR THE MPH HAND DOES not move and the engine idles very,very high.

hi, i am looking to buy an 80's 300 wagon. there is one for sale around the corner for a grand, but it's not a turbo (that's a must for me) my question is, are the blocks the same? and can a turbo charger be added to a n/a motor? are the turbo motors a lower compression? i'm new to diesels. thanks john

Here's the average emissions numbers for a 1987 Mercedes Benz 420sel.
31 HC (PPM) 0.10 Co (%) 237 NO (PPM) @ 15 MPH
These are my numbers
161 HC (PPM) 0.12 CO (%) 469 NO (PPM) @ 15 MPH

Is there anything I can do to lower my numbers to pass a smog test without spending alot of cash

I used a fuel preservative (only down 2 1/2 months) but when I fired her up I had minimal spark and the cylinders getting a good gas rinse. The gas is good. I pulled and cleaned the plugs and got the same result. It only has 1,400 miles. Any ideas before I call the dealer? Thanks.

My registration is all up and paid for I never recieved a sticker. And have filled out two forms at the dmv to get new one. My apartment complex just realized 9 months later my tags are expired. They said I could be towed cause its private property! Well I pay to live here, my car is driven and moved everyday.Are they allowed to have me towed just cause my stickers expired??
