Here's the average emissions numbers for a 1987 Mercedes Benz 420sel.
31 HC (PPM) 0.10 Co (%) 237 NO (PPM) @ 15 MPH
These are my numbers
161 HC (PPM) 0.12 CO (%) 469 NO (PPM) @ 15 MPH

Is there anything I can do to lower my numbers to pass a smog test without spending alot of cash

Sounds like either an oxygen sensor or cat problem.

Yeah, it 's the o2 sensor at best. The # are to high for anything in a can that can lower them, A fresh set of plugs and wires along with a cap and rotor wouldn't hurt. Try eBay for your parts.
